Is Georgia really trying to move forward at the state level?  Does anyone know or heard anymore detail around this?  Read article from Fox News below:

There is no way any bullshit like that would get through in Ga.

I hope so.  I thought we were making really good progress with gun laws in this state.  This would be a huge setback.

I though that preemption kind of ruled out bans on a local level.  If I recall, didn't GCO lead the way on this with some litigation against Stone Mountain Park and the City of Fayetteville?  ...disregard, I read the article and see that it is a state rep pushing it at the state level.

I didnt even read the link.  This legislation will be from Vincent Forte or one of the other Democratic hacks in the legislature.  It wont even make it out of committee

I wouldn't be surprised if this gets at least some traction. Every day folks are having to move into smaller dwellings with less amounts of space between them. High power and high volume weapons (like I have ) has certainly got the attention of these folks now.

Lets all inform our respective state senators just in case, eh?

From FOX:

Georgia: State Sen. Vincent Fort, a Democrat from Atlanta, says he’ll introduce bills in 2013 to ban assault rifles and limit the number of bullets a gun can hold. Georgia is a state that has traditionally sided with gun owners. During the last legislative session, there were a number of proposals aimed at loosening laws that included letting people carry concealed weapons in schools, college campuses, most government buildings and in bars. The state Senate also approved a bill that would lower the concealed carry license age requirement from 21 to 18, as well as a bill that would force law enforcement agencies to return all seized firearms not being held as evidence to their owners no later than 30 days after the court renders its final judgment.

Why doesn't Fox 5 just report Vincent Forte's real constituents? Criminals and leeches. Every bill he introduces is designed to aid thieves of one kind or another. That's who keeps re-electing him.

Evidently he knows which side his bread is buttered on

Since it was already posted from the article... its important to remember who introduced it. So the article's author got it wrong on purpose I believe. Attempting to associate a pro-gun state with an anti-gun bill/movement.

We need to get one of our pro-gun guys to start the censure proceedings against whomever introduced this bill. Infringing on Civil Rights is a serious matter and you would think an African American with a Masters degree in African American Studies would understand the ramifications of trying to restrict civil rights.

I guess he didn't pay too much attention to the role of gun control during the civil rights movement...

I think he just likes to make funny noises so that people who like funny noises keep voting for him.
