The cubs are in FIRST place  and are not lookin back.
Sorry Cards take a line from a cubs fan and wait till next year.
only about 145 games left im gonna jump out on the roof and say the cubs are gonna win at least 100 this year.

They'll crash and burn eventually, then we can all celebrate a century them going a full century without winning a WS. Whats the difference between the Cubs and Cardinals? The Cubs still havnt won a WS in their new stadium!

Well in 06 the Cubs and Cards had something in common. Neither team had won a championship in their new stadium. Never mind Cards took care of that.

if only the cubs could play the cards 160 times a year, than we would have as many rings as the damm yankees

all jokes aside im really excited about the cubs this year.  D Lee of to a great start, Big Z always hard to hit, Dempster is throwing really nice. now if we could just get Lilly and Hill back in shape watch out divison. Fukadome all the way from Japan does every thing right, when Soriano gets back WOW, i dont think i would look forward to playin these guys.

and in the meanwhile the cards are losing to teams like the Giants

the thing that gets the cubs is the all star break.  it's the bane of their existance.  as a cards fan the team i'm most afraid of is cincy.  i think by the end of the season they'll be on fire.  we'll see though.

...not lookin so good...but just thought I'd check in w/ you guys.

Hope all my IL brothers are doing good!

Lohse has certainly seen better days.  He was due for a bad one though.

Glaus isn't doing so hot either.

At least Pujols extended his OB/game to 31 games.  w00t.

Hi Pat!

Today was not good in St.Louis.

And actually Glaus isnt great, but they were in a tough spot with Rolen leaving, so he'll have to do; and Glaus leads the NL in doubles IIRC.

Ya Glaus was the only previously big named player we got out of our trades...I just meant w/ that statement he wasn't doing good today.  Overall he's doing decent.  You're correct w/ the doubles btw.

Pujols is on track for an MVP if he keeps these numbers up...but I always forget that the MVP is about homeruns...

ETA: Good job cubbies, today you officially kicked our asses.  Handsdown.

Well it was a run.

Pic from Friday.  I want to think it went for a homerun.  don't quite remember right now.

One for the card fans.

Great seat.

Great game to watch, thought we were fucked.
