Other than shooting which is getting to be a pricey hobby, what other things do you do that cost you an arm and a leg? Cars, Sports....? For me its Golf. Now that my son is playing all the time its double the price. He's trying out for the high school team this fall and I just forked over 1K for a new set of irons at the TPC Snoqualmie demo day (I bought a new Callaway Driver for myself)...couldn't let him score without Pops getting something for himself Lets hear your other addictions. (Drinking doesn't count as a hobby you booze hounds! |

No specific order Woodworking Simpler living Work, (I actually enjoy the responsibility part anyhow.... it keeps my feet on the ground) Music... though I only listen. I like it loud and am listening just about whenever I'm alone. The female body Cooking and good food Road trips Quading If I had more time and money, there's no doubt I'd be a gearhead. Massive horsepower flat out turns me on. Hell, I get tears & chills at airshows or boat races, and I don't even like flying or fishing. |

Essentially anything involving internal combustion or ballistics. Love shooting, collecting and working on guns. Camping, travelling, motorcycling in all its flavors, anything remotely suicidal on an atv, jetskiing, running my boat around on a big, blue lake. Although, at my age, I'm spending more time driving it, while the young&dumb crowd do the tubing. Hotrods, like my 38 chebby, old Brit iron, like my Norton. I've long had a passion for martial arts in various forms, teaching and performing. Ya sure wouldn't know it to see me now. Gravity has been very good to me. So, these days, I'm stuck with stories and reminiscing. Too many injuries and resultant surgeries to get very frisky. Never been a real baby person, but, with the arrival of my two grandkids, my whole world has changed to accomodate them and my fondness for them. Did I mention nekkid wimmenz and reloading? Both hold some OOOH for me. One I get to do whenever I feel like it, in my gunroom. The other, uh, I just dream about while reloading. |
do you have any planes right now? i am asking because my uncle was big into planes and helos back in the day and he bought me a fairly large cesna last Xmas. Well, it still sits in the garage as i am still here in Iraq. going to be one of my relaxing times this summer, building the plane and finding some where to fly it. |
I have a few, and a bunch of spare parts... I dont know what plane you have, but just get used to the idea that you may not have it long. |
I am trying to figure out what type of helm you have there. It seems odd to have a spangen nasal on a helmet with no spangens... If you are a norse persona what the hell are you doing with a heater? On top of that what is the knight with the 14th century german cuirass doing with a round shield? It's like the world has gone all batshit crazy! |
It's actually a Norman style helm, with the cheek plates to make it safe for combat. However, it's my old helm. My current helm is a Scottish burgonet. Still using the heater for now, but working on changing out my armor and shield so I can do the late 16th century border reiver. Sir Martin (the knight) also normally fights with a heater, when he's using a shield. If I recall correctly, the round he was using that day was borrowed. |
