NO JOKE

There is one in my room that will not let me sleep. I've seen it three times. I freak out and yell at it to go away and start sweating really bad. One night i told it to make some noise if it was real, my girlfriend came over, i didn't tell her about it, then about 0300 weird shit started happening, banging walls, i grabbed the gun and did a preimiter check, went back to bed, hour and a half later did it again. We were both scared and thats when I told her i though i had a ghost. she laughed but agreed things were weird. This isn't the first time nor the first pace I have uneasy feelings or feel like i have seen a ghost or spirit or whatever.

just wondering, posted that when my security motion light came on last night, looked out side and seen a shadow/apparition floating by, could have been a patch of fog too.

ETA: I had an uncle pass away a couple of weeks back that hasn't been taken care of yet, he donated his body to science and the family is supposed to get him/remains back in 6 to 8 weeks.

Sounds like night terrors or a visitation from an evil spirit. No BS.

patch of fog or a shadow, just seemed strange coincidence that when I check to see why the motion light came on I see this patch of fog/shadow floating on by 15' from my door.

You have doubts about what it was or you wouldn't be asking. You probably know what it is but are looking to explain it as something else as more understandable.
I wouldn't worry about it. A ghost won't drink your beer or hit on your girl friend.

I would love to tell the storie"S but most would say I was a bit south of sanity but its been happening since I was a kid. Used to just blame it on my childhood but then it started happening as an adult. Never have been able to explain it but my Grandmother who was full blood Pottawatomie used to tell me as a child I was born with a gift. Never understood what the hell she was saying but I guess this must be something to do with it. Hell I dont know but it scares the hell outa me

When one of the guy's in my plt in Afghanistan got killed, later that night I had what I thought was a dream about him telling me that it was alright.  The next morning I was telling my sqd leader the specific details and his eye's got real big, he said that he had the same experience the night before, Im talking the same barracks room, the same black clothes, and no glasses (that dude couldnt see shit without his glasses). I just thought that it was a fluke, you know that it was just our minds trying to cope with it.

Well, after the deployment was over, I was ETSing out, I didnt have a car at the time so I had a soldier from the plt drive me around to clear.  After driving around for a while we start talking about Davis (RIP) and I told him about what me and my sqd ldr talked about that next morning, and his jaw dropped.  See this soldier bunked next to Davis and he said that the morning of the day that Davis died, Davis woke up and told him that an angel came to him in his sleep and said they were taking him, and Davis told this soldier that "today is the day." That hit me pretty hard.

Davis didnt die by enemy fire, he died by one of our mortors, it was a accidental friendly fire.  The plt was out on a patrol, we were walking back to the company outpost, and whenever a plt comes back in, they would shoot  the 60's just to scare off any potental ambush's. Between our fister, the guy in the command post, and the mortor pit, someone got the grid wrong.  That round landed right in the middle of the plt, right in front of Davis, and he was the only one that it took, no other casualties. (not one scratch on anyone else)

Maybe it was fate, maybe there are such things as ghosts, or maybe it was just our minds trying to cope with the dangers of being in a war.  I dont know, but he was the only KIA in my plt for the entire deployment.  1st Plt. A-Co. 1st Btn 32 INF REG. "The Stan" 06-07

I used to live in a rented trailer in Newalla when I got out of the Marine Corps and came back home.  My room-mate had also just gotten out of the Marine Corps as well.  It was a party house sometimes.   Lots of strange women in and out of the place.

We each had a dog, and they grew up together, and pretty much had free run of the place.  Sometimes, the dogs would stop dead in their tracks and stare at the same spot in the house, and then track with their eyes across the room whatever they were looking at.  They did this all the time.  Several times a day.

My girlfriend (now my wife) swears that she saw a woman standing in the bathroom looking at her, and she refused to be left alone in the trailer after that.  She said that it felt like somebody was always watching her.

One night, I was sitting catty-corner from my room-mate talking.  The dogs were at different spots in the room.  As I was talking, I noticed the dogs' ears perk up, and they started looking at one spot on the wall.  So, I looked there too.  There was a sort of hazy, foggy human sized shape that came out of the wall at walking speed, and it went straight to the front door and then right through it.  It passed right behind my room-mate.  He didn't see it at all.  He the said "did you see the doorknob just turn?  I thought I saw the doorknob turn out of the corner of my eye."

I asked the landlord if anything bad ever happened in the place, and he told me that nothing had.

I know I made a statement earlier in the thread about how drinking and seeing things; however, I have had a few experiences that can not be explained.

When we lived in El Reno, my wife and brother (he was living with us after he graduated) swore up and down that our house was haunted.  I never thought much about it.  We had a pit that I rescued and he would sleep at the stairs and growl almost every night.  The wife would mention that things would be missing and show up other places, but I always thought se was bs'ing me.

Another time my brother, a friend (full blood Creek) and myself saw a deer running to a tree line.  There was what I would call a micro-burst of air, and when we looked back to the tree line there was an old Indian walking down the side.  My friend swore up and down that ut was a shape shifter, and his uncle the medicine man did too.  I don't know but that was a little weird.

On a different note, I have seen a big black cat around and near the Arkansas border.  This thing was no bobcat, the size was more on line of a moutian lion, at first I really thought it was a big dog, but that curvie long tail, and the way it moved made me believe it was no dog.  My dad was with me, he seen it as well, but the rest of the family thinks it was miss identification.  They say jaguars are making their way back to North America, it might have been a panther.

On bigfoot ill be honest, I have lived in this state my whole life, hunting and fishing since I was 12 all over this state, and I have never seen an apeman.  I hope I do one day, because Ill be a very rich man.

I've seen some really funny stuff at Concho. I've heard babies cry out in the middle of the camp grounds when there is no one there, I've seen a radio turn on in the police station late at night. There  is some real spooky stuff on the Cheyenne-Arapaho land.

jaguars have been seen in central OK, when I worked for the dept of T&R there was a naturalist that had pics of a female jaguar with kittens that she took in the area, there have also been reported sightings of mountain lions in the same area, the norman transcript ran a few articles  of them.

as for bigfeet, meh, no credible pics have been taken in this area that I've read about or seen.

I believe in ghosts.  For those who say they've "never met one", it's a double edged sword.  Some of them are a blessing to have around, others are...not.  That's all I feel comfortable saying at the moment.

On mountain lions in Oklahoma, I'll say this:  I'm fairly certain I've heard a few, never seen one.  Sounds like something between a baby crying and a woman screaming.  Scary as hell at 3 in the morning when it drags you out of a dead sleep.  Fortunately, I haven't heard one in a while.  Unfortunately, my Great Pyrenees mix is no longer around to shut them up if they start making a racket.  The coyotes are digging that fact, too, but I'm less worried about them.  He could shut up a cougar or a pack of coyotes in less than 2 seconds with a howl.  That howl was one of the most comforting sounds I've ever heard.

Mountain lions damn sure make horses nervous for several miles around the area where they hang out.
I know where one got shot and killd in Logan County. The dummy who shot him didn't get the skull soon enough, somebody else got it.
Old Bud, before we put him in the nursing home, kept his 30/30 loaded by his front door because he thought he had one on his place. He wouldn't go out at night because of what happened to a neighbor's dog. The dog disappeared from the yard but left a lot of guts behind.....

As far as Bigfoot goes, did I ever tell a Bigfoot story here?

It is not hard for me to believe mt lions and jags in OK.  A buddy of mine and I were at Tri-City range several years ago an d some kind of big cat was on the 200 meter berm.  There were several of us there amd for sure it was not a bobcat but a bigger cat that was darker and a tail.  If we had been somewhere besides the range I would have been tempted to drop it––I was sighting in a FAL that day.

there's a locksmith from new york state that works for the postal service that comes to norman training center to teach a course for several weeks, when he's here he comes out to the casino, this one time he stopped me and asked if I'd tell him when the shuttle was ready to leave because one night he'd won a jackpot and didn't want to leave when the shuttle left,

so about 3am he decideds he's ready to leave and calls for a cab, they tell him the cost, so he decides to walk/hike back to the training center, well about half way there he told us he started hearing a rustling sound a ways behind him, but he keeps walking, and after another couple miles he hears the sound getting closer, so he takes off jogging until he got tired, said about 6am the sound was real close, so he picked up a rock and climbed atop one of the guard rails and waited, when he thought the sound close enough,

he shined his pen light and surprised a cougar following him, said he chuncked the rock as hard as he could at it, and it ran off south across the highway and he took off running west back towards town.

he said he wasn't as tired as he thought he was since he ran damn near all the way back to the center, when he was approx 1/2mile from it a car pulled over to give him a lift.

How about the old Masonic orphanage in Guthrie? The guy that bought it and remodeled it has had some REAL SPOOKY crap happen.

Boys will be boys: The Guthrie Masonic Boys Home

Everyone knows about the haunted orphanage in Guthrie. But does everyone know why it is haunted? The story goes like this:

There was a very mean head mistress, who once was punishing a 6-year-old boy and beat him to death. She buried his body in the basement.

When she was questioned, she said that the boy had run off when threatened with punishment.

Three years went by and four more boys mysteriously vanished. Then plumbing in the orphanage went out. The head mistress knew that the basement would have to be disturbed to fix the plumbing problem. She began to move the bodies. A custodian got curious about her strange actions. He followed her down to the basement where he saw her digging up the remains of the boys.

It is also reported that an employee of the boys home hanged himself in the bell tower.

These and other atrocities at the boys home are the apparent cause of the legendary haunting of the Guthrie orphanage.

And there is Puckett's Wrecker Service in OKC.
The video surveillance is here:
