| Thinking about downsizing from the 22. I love it but it's really unwieldy. Thoughts? Any bargains to be had in the OKC area for one? |

I've had several .40 handguns. Glock 27, Steyre m40a1, USPC.40, p2k. P2sk, maybe a couple others. Shot the M&P .40, and the Kahr pm.40.
I have to say that the Glock 27 was the softest shooting .40 I've ever shot, and accurate for the barrel lenght. I put the same type ammo through all of them. That being said I never felt comfortable carrying the Glock IWB. I only have the H&K's now. mp |

| Thanks for the thought but I have some sentimental attachments to the 22 that will keep it in my family for as long as possible. I've found quite a few new ones out there but the used ones are super hard to find. Guess I'd better plan on being patient and making a lot of follow up calls. |
| I called around metro pawn and gun stores today and found one! I'm going to look at it in the morning. I'll be stopping off at a Tag Agency first to swap out my MO DL for an OK. Price over the phone was $449 for a used G27 with night sights. Thoughts about that? High? Low? Average? What's the process for buying a handgun in OK? Is a permit required? Is there a waiting period? |

That's about the only thing I know you have to do besides the usual 4473. The price doesn't sound to bad if it's in good shape.

| Bought it. Guess I overlooked the warning and disclaimer. Should I be concerned that I've moved to a state where there seems to be an institutional bias against a style of weapon rather than against the apparent overwhelming lack of common sense that one does not place one's finger on one's trigger (even one's "safe" trigger) until one is ready to destroy that at which one is aiming? |

You'll know the answer to that question when you shoot yourself in the leg with your new Glock. |
