Thinking about downsizing from the 22.  I love it but it's really unwieldy.  Thoughts?  Any bargains to be had in the OKC area for one?

I've had a 1911.  Well, a clone.  I had an Argentine Sistema 1927.  Fun to shoot but still too bulky for me.  Still have a ton of WW2 surplus .45 ACP.  Corrosive ammo.  Too much of a PITA to clean up after.

Oh no. Don't do it. For the children

Wife carries a glock 21 when she's doing her cop gig. Just bought her a S&W M&P compact in .40 for her normal carry piece.

If I scroll to just the right position on my screen I can see the effects of dual wielding Glocks.

I have a 27 I enjoy it for a small pistol

I've had several .40 handguns. Glock 27, Steyre m40a1, USPC.40, p2k. P2sk, maybe a couple others.  Shot the M&P .40, and the Kahr pm.40.
I have to say that the Glock 27 was the softest shooting .40 I've ever shot, and accurate for the barrel lenght.
I put the same type ammo through all of them.
That being said I never felt comfortable carrying the Glock IWB. I only have the H&K's now.

Should be lots of Glock bargains around. I'd look for someone with a limp and ask how much they want for their Glock if they still have it.

Funny.  I've owned my 22 for nearly 10 years now and no UDs.  You just gots to be smart!

So you carried it unloaded?

No, silly.  I carry it with a trigger lock!  Hopefully I'll have time to get my keys out and take it off if I ever need it!

Still on the hunt.  Would really appreciate a heads-up if anyone happens to see on when they're out and about in their favorite LGS.

Well if you had a 23 I'd consider trading you my 27, maybe. The 22 is just a little big.

Thanks for the thought but I have some sentimental attachments to the 22 that will keep it in my family for as long as possible.  I've found quite a few new ones out there but the used ones are super hard to find.  Guess I'd better plan on being patient and making a lot of follow up calls.

I called around metro pawn and gun stores today and found one!  I'm going to look at it in the morning.  I'll be stopping off at a Tag Agency first to swap out my MO DL for an OK.  Price over the phone was $449 for a used G27 with night sights.  Thoughts about that?  High?  Low?  Average?  What's the process for buying a handgun in OK?  Is a permit required?  Is there a waiting period?

When you buy a Glock in Oklahoma you are required to sign an insurance waiver saying your family is protected financially in case you shoot yourself.
That's about the only thing I know you have to do besides the usual 4473.
The price doesn't sound to bad if it's in good shape.

Bought it.  Guess I overlooked the warning and disclaimer.  Should I be concerned that I've moved to a state where there seems to be an institutional bias against a style of weapon rather than against the apparent overwhelming lack of common sense that one does not place one's finger on one's trigger (even one's "safe" trigger) until one is ready to destroy that at which one is aiming?

You'll know the answer to that question when you shoot yourself in the leg with your new Glock.
