I have a glock 21 and when I load a full mag and slap the mag in the slide releases and chamers a round. If I lightly insert a mag it wont release the slide or if I only have 12rd instead of 13rds in the mag it won't release the slide. I tried it with an empty mag and it doesn't release the slide. Only with a fully loaded 3rd mag the slide releases and I'm not really hitting that hard to seat the mag. Just curious if anyone else has had this happen or has any thoughts.
It's not a major problem but I tried it on my G19 and it doesn't release with a full mag no matter how hard you hit the bottom of the mag.

It is a glock thing.  The empty mag won't do it since it should be tripping the lide catch.  Of you play around with bending the slide catch you can make it do it or not do it everytime.

Worked with my 20 if you flung the muzzle down as you slammed the full mag.  Not as easy to do with the 19.

Worked with my buddy's hk p30 too.

Does it on my 19 with a fully loaded mag and also does it on my M&P 40c.

But not all the time.

They only one I have that has done it is my Glock 27.  Actually saves me from having to  hit the slide release.  Kidding, but it seems to do it when I use full size mags in it and really slam them home,  the short compact mags made for it don't do it.

My M&P40fs does it, the wife's G19 doesn't. I cant remember where I saw It(so that means this doesn't count) but some depending on the angle you struck it ,it would go in.
I believe it was HK and glock.

If you want it to all the time start to bend the lock a little bit thewre it grabs the slide.  You want to make it grab a little of the slide as possible but still have enough umph to not let it go accidently.  It takes a little playing around with.

Its hard to do on my 19, I have though about adjusting it to make it more consistant/easier but never got around to it. My m&p 45 is a completely different story, you don't even have to slam a mag home on it to get it to drop the slide, works great.

My M&P 9's do it everytime I focus on rapidly slamming home the mag with the pressure placed on the front of the base.

My Glocks and M&P's both do it sometimes.

My Walther p22 will drop the slide if you really slam the mag home hard. What sucks is my hand is bigger than the grip and can get pinched

IIRC my HK USP 45 did it as well.

Had a CZ-75 that did the same thing.
