Looking for some local intel. Good eats, nothing south of 336 or over by the lake area, mostly within 15 mins of 45/105. Something appropriate for a small group after a day at the range.
Have tried Margarita & Peppers, McKenzie's BBQ, and Five Guys. Looking to shake things up. Anybody make an above average chicken fried steak? Thanks, |

Vernon's Kountry Catfish on 105 west. Great catfish and all kinds of food for those who don't go for fish. They can seat groups and they're in the right area for you.
The chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken are good. Love the hushpuppies. Next to the golf driving range on the south side of 105 |

Thanks, The Cracker Barrel in Conroe (just north of 336 on League Line) always had great food when I used to eat there when I lived in The Woodlands, including a pretty decent chicken fried steak. |
