OK folks, the Gopher State Sportsman's Club in La Crescent has stepped up and will host their first Appleseed shoot July 25-26, 2009. I know there were quite a few turned away from Winona and Elk River shoots earlier this year so don't wait too long to register. The Appleseed scheduled for Winona in September is already over half full!

I consider Appleseed to be a shooting event not a shooting competition. It's about preserving the heritage and memory of the American Rifleman that gave us this country. You'll learn to shoot better than you thought you could and you'll learn some American history that they don't teach in school. Most people come for the shooting and get hooked by the history. The only competition you'll have is what you want to make of it. Shooters will be shooting a modified version of the Army Qualification Course for score and most will have plenty of competition with themselves just to improve each time and maybe be able to shoot a "Rifleman" qualification score of 210. Some will naturally compete between themselves and friends or family that came together. Others will naturally compare themselves to the better shooters. Or it might be the guy that already shoots NRA High Power who came to show off his skills and ends up trying to keep up with a 12 year old kid who never shot before. It's a geat, (and inexpensive) way to spend the weekend with family, friends, and fellow shooters! Try it, you'll like it. Check it out HERE. Click on the "links" and go to the forums for more info and to get registered. |
| The Regulars are coming! The Regulars are coming! The Regulars are coming! I have it on good authority, that they plan to march on La Crescent, MN. Arriving at 08:30! Will you stand beside Patriots as we hold the field at Gopher State Sportsmans Club, putting an end to the Redcoat invasion? Defending Minnesota and America, once again, from the cold hand of tyranny. Securing Liberty for generations to come. |
