Last minute range trip with a friend I haven't seen in years in that area.

From what I understand its 7 pistol bays and 1 rifle lane. Any experiences? Is the lighting on the 100 yard good? Do they allow prone? Know cost off the top of your head?

from what I remember, the 100yd tube is underneath the store, not a part of the 7 bays for pistol.  And you have to reserve it in advance by the hour.  I went shooting there once and will never go back.  Is there any reason you can't make it north just a hair to Eagle gun range in Lewisville?

Eagle was the other option.

They just seem really strict from their website but I have heard good things about them.

they are strict on what ammo you bring and shoot because someone started a fire last year with a tracer round.  It's a pain, but you have to show them the ammo you are going to shoot and it can't be preloaded into mags.  Other than that, they are very good folks and reasonable with their range safety.

Bass Pro's firing range on the other hand puts off the super strict range nazi vibe in the lobby, but there is (at least when I was there) no RO paying attention to the dad and his 14 year olds that muzzle sweep the entire line repeatedly.  just my $.02

Directly across 121 is the sportsman shooting center. Might want to check it out depending on type of shooting you want to do

much more fun than just putting holes in paper.
more expensive, but you get 1 instructor to your group.

I could never figure out all the expense involved in making an underground rifle range, then only making it one lane.

I called up there once and asked about coming up there to shoot, then I showed up, rifle in hand, and the guy was like, "oh we only have one lane, you have to make an appointment".

100 yard has to be scoped as well. Red dot doesn't qualify from what I remember.

I use their pistol bay often after work if it's too hot for elm fork. Good bay.

Went to Eagle. Nice place, pretty busy for a Friday afternoon. Keith, RSO, was very friendly and polite.

Some guys were shooting 30.06 at 7 yards... besides the obvious "because I can..." why? lol.

Besides oddities like that it was a good indoor range experience. Will be back if I'm in the area.

Went to B Tactical last week, a real laid back range. Very friendly young lady there who didn't care what ammo I used. Not over bearing at all, in fact I was the only shooter on the 100 yard range. I will surely go back soon.

The 100 yard was only available to  be used with your rifle in a lead sled device the last time I asked about it while at the store. The pistol range looks OK.
