| I thought I would start an interesting thread. What do you take with you to the gun range? Besides your gun and ammo of course! |
|
Vehicle FAK and Blow Out kit.
I never leave home without 'em and I bring an extra one to the range. I usually take care of boo-boos but I understand the risks we all take by participating in our sport/training. If there is an ND and someone is hurt, being able to control the bleeding or other complications while you wait for an ambulance will save lives. |

Copies of "Range Officer" job applications.
Plastic Clamps - easier than taping backers to the the target frames. A small tackle box with things like: A dime or quarter - for optics adjustments Sight tools (A1 and A2) Small Parts - bolt, buffer, spare batteries CLP or other lube Allen wrenches and small screw drivers (or a multi tool) Extra foam ear plugs - for when you forget your good ones A shooting mat or towel Pen/Pencil Range Book or Notepad Ear Protection Eye Protection Targets - stickers - masking tape Snacks/Water So a typical range trip would be a rifle case (or two), a backpack and an ammo can. |

| I have a plastic toolbox with all my cleaning supplies in it. Patches, solvents, cleaning rods, etc. It also has a couple rudimentary tools (like Allen wrenches, flat and Phillips screwdrivers). And another poster mentioned a staple gun with staples. That one is a must. Of course some of the other basics that go without saying: hearing protection, targets, pen, water, more water, even more water (after all, I live in Florida), beef jerkey. I know what I'll be doing this weekend! |

jBoy723 - You crossed off the important one. You have to have those for all the wanna be range masters that feel the need to provide you with their unsolicited input on how their method/equipment, etc. is better. Literally LMAO!!!! I guess that didn't register in my brain when I posted.. |
