Was wondering if there were any worth-while gun shops in the Union City area? I'm on vacation next week to see family in Fulton, KY and wanted to check out what was

Thanks, Brandon If you are interested in black powder guns, Dixie Gun Works is there. It's the largest retailer of muzzleloading supplies and parts in the world and they have a huge collection of originals hanging on the walls. Of course, there aren't any EBR's. I think there's a pretty good sporting goods store there specializing in waterfowl stuff, but I haven't been to it and don't recall the name. |

DGW is definitely worth a visit. They are only open until noon on Saturdays but have regular hours during the week. Abernathy's (across the street from the Harley dealership) is a Class 3 dealer and usually has some good toys - if a bit pricey.
ETA - forgot about Final Flight Outfitters on Hwy 421 between Union City and Martin. They are primarily a waterfowl outfitter but have some other stuff too. I understand they are going to be hosting CCW classes soon. |

I went to Dixie Gun Works last time I came down there, pretty nice stuff, just not what I'm into at the moment. Looking for EBR stuff.
I was hoping to find an SBR upper for a pistol build I'm working on now. Also, need one more parts kit and a 20" HBAR upper. Whichever I find first I will buy. Kinda dry up here in N. Illinois. I am thinking of going to Whittaker's in Owensboro, KY, but that is a haul even from Paducah! Not sure if thats going to happen. That's why I figured I would ask about something in NW Tennesee seeing as how Fulton (where family is) is pretty close to the state line. Thanks for the suggestions! Anything else, repsond in Forum, I am leaving on the 1st, but will have my laptop with me, hopefully there will be WiFi hot spots. Hotel has high speed internet though. -Brandon |
