Did anybody make it out to the gun show at the Cardinal Stadium?  I was not able to make it but wanted to know how the new venue was.

I went, and thought it absolutely sucked.

Size was, it was fairly big, got there sat at 10 and the line went an 1/8th of the way 'round the stadium.  The fair grounds ones inside the building are a bit smaller, the ones where the multiple buildings and open outside area are used are larger.

Price wise, it sucked.  Prices were higher than usual crossroads shows, and I didn't see much moving.

Only thing decent was ammo, not a single US milsurp at a good price I could find, and no competition grade 22s at reasonable prices.

Kept my eyes open for a S&W M&P 45, but all were priced higher than GB has sold them recently, even the models without frame safeties and with internal locks.

Lots of weird tables, the usual tasers and book people who Im fine with, but plenty of other wastes like fairy tale swords.  I hope that guy paid more for his table than he made in profit.

Overall, my impression of the shows keeps dropping.  Unfortunately, the deals tend to show up there, so I'll keep up.  Found a M44USb with original M4 scope that I almost bought, best deal in the stadium.

You didn't miss much. Gun prices were almost all retail prices, no deals..I couldn't find a dealer willing to work on the prices. Internet prices are much better even paying freight and transfer fees. Ammo was spotty as some places were decent and others still trying to sell at full retail prices. The sales tax for Glendale is like 9.5% which makes everything priced high, I did pick up a couple of $11 bore snakes( guy later raised his prices) and a couple bags of brass but that was it. So I just left with most of my money still in my pocket. I hope the SAR show in December will be better with more out of state dealers willing to work with you on prices(like years past)

It wasn't pretty.

IF you went both days and used a $1 off coupon it cost you $7.50/day.  The filthy fairgounds with the same 2-day/coupon costs you $12/day.  Stadium: clean(er) restrooms & more air volume to dissipate BO.

Stadium: DO NOT BUY ANY FOOD OR BEER/DRINKS.

One day was more than I could bear.

Glad I missed it.  About the only show I go to anymore is the local show in Mesa, and the last few times I've walked out empty handed with my pocket full of money.  And that's a rare thing, I normally never leave a gun show without buying something.

I can't get over seeing folks drinking beers.
WTF
IMHO that's goes against keeping booze separate from guns - totally contradictory and sends the wwrongs message.

There used to be beer sales at the fairgrounds. Freedom's hard for some to handle apparently.

Then you need to see me at the SAR Show in December, Mr Pig. I'll take care of that 'pocket full `o money' problem you have.
