Went to show today. $6.00 admission. Sling Point is there. Mostly locals walking around trying to sell/trade shotguns, hunting rifles and handguns. Was it worth it? It was OK, reminded me of when local small towns had gun shows and all the older local folks went to it to trade guns and knives.

Damn BravoCharlie ...you owe me now dude.  Next time warn someone when it sucks that bad.

That was ALMOST the sorriest excuse for a gun show that I have ever been to.  Half the hall was literally empty (filled up by people spreading out books and dvds and crap no one wants)

No ammo to really speak of.

Only real dealer was slingpoint  there..and it only rated one girl for them. By the way, they seem to have traded in their hotpants wearing model types for shorter, older, and ..well you get the idea.
And we know how slingpoint has been in the past.

Few locals walking around and mostly dealers trying to swap guns with each other and get one up on the next dealer.  I saw NO deals to be had. I bought a magazine just to make the trip not a total loss.
I mean there is nothing that you couldn't get elsewhere for a lot cheaper, when are these local people gonna learn to be reasonable when setting up at a show.  Worst part was that it was sunday and no shops are open even after going to the gun show.

Wasted $6,  gas, and part of today going to lexington for nothing. Damn!!

I was there around 2pm today (sunday) with my girlfriend and I must say that despite my low expectations, it absolutely sucked.

As mentioned above me:

- Half of the room was empty
- Half of the booths were Tupperware bins of absolutely crapptastic knifes
- I am having trouble remembering what I did see (other than some nazi flags ) the show was so bland.
- There was nothing there that I could not see everyday at Classic Arms & Archery or Bud's or [insert local gunshop]

Conclusion:

Complete and Total Waste of Time and $12.

Sling Point was there - True.
Locals walking around trading shotguns , rifles, knives - True
$6.00 admission - True
Never said there were any deals or ammo - True
Like small town gun shows - True

Was it worth it? I got tickled watching the older folks meeting and greeting each other, like when I was a kid at hometown gun shows. I'm very seldom disappointed anymore about gun shows, because I don't expect much from any of them.

Glad I stayed home and didn't waste the drive over there from east Louisville. While I like the "old fashion" gun shows I use to go to its not really worth two hours of driving (round trip).
Its just a local thing.

Next time a litte more info please....i have been hitting gun shows for 30 years and even small town ones I went to were better than this pitiful thing.  It was more like a Shrine Temple lodge meeting. Bet they wont have much business next time and thats a shame but they really didn't advertise much and of course they have had the show before so maybe any bigger dealers who went there before knew not to come back.  I had the one guy I bought something from thank me as he hadn't sold anything on saturday (but his gun prices were nuts).
