Another good time at the Showplace today even if it was damn cold outside.

It was great seeing all the other board members at the show. Several of us had a nice hot lunch at the Mexico again.

Thanks again to Quantico for the great deal on lowers. The only problem I have now is that I have to buy kits to build them all with.

This show ranked as a pretty good one my list anyway.

I had wanted to go, but had too much to do with the wife and kids.

Maybe the 6-7 March show.

Yeah, it was alright.  It appeared to me that there wern't that many people in there but with all the parking places filled, I suppose I was wrong.

Nothing really looked interesting to me except for a few small items I needed.  I did see some Talon 50bmg ball 100 rounds for 119.  I passed because I now reload my own for much cheaper.  I think only one guy had reloading supplies there.

I had to zip home so I passed on lunch.

Yup, 101_Proof and myself also zipped down, last second thing.
Was nice to meet Omar (Chimbarozo, (sorry for the spelling)) and see, Robert too.
Nice show, friendly dealers and best of all I did not pay asking price for 1 single thing!
Except for 1 ammo lady who I was really lowballing everyone took what I offered them without complaints. Next time I am just offering 1/2 the asking price

Just got back, and I took advantage of Quantico Arms receiver deal.  Good people to work with.

It was very cool that Robert and son, Chim, BVM and Slim Hazy stopped by DeGoff's to say hi on Saturday.  It makes the day a lot more pleasant at work.

BVMJetHead and I made the trip up from the Tidewater area, and it was well worth the trek through the cold.

I had just gotten some lowers from Quantico Arms at the last show, and some other stuff on my way home after Christmas so I didn't get any $75 lowers, but I did check out a bunch of their stuff.  Mmmmm...AR10!

No good deals on .223 other than Georgia Arms, and I didn't really look for pistol ammo.

My current dilemna is which .308/7.62mm I want.  After the visit to DeGoff's and talking to Templar, I'm fairly sure I'm going to end up with all three I'm considering (FAL, M1A, AR10) it's just a matter of which one first and when.  VA-gunnut referred to DeGoff's as "small and cramped" but I was pretty impressed; the place is much better than anything down here.

A tasty lunch w/ some other ARFCOMers @ The Mexico as always.  But now it needs to get warmer so we can do some shooting...

Anyone see the table with the pair of WW2 uniform pants with the sign that said "you must be 18 years old to handle" The sign was probably misplaced from the other side of the table. But I thought it was funny.

ban pants..... for the children

I too have that sign on my pants, the part that you have to be female is assumed...
