But it's an antique pump-action gun. You'll never win a match shooting a pump gun. You'll be slow and ridiculed by everyone.

I had an old ex-police Wingmaster years ago that I do miss. It had a butter smooth action. I did shoot some trap at a buddy's house earlier this year with my Mossberg 500 with an 18.5" choked barrel. I installed it instead of the regular Cyl bore barrel is usually wears. It is the only non Cyl bore shotgun barrel I own, except for the 3 1/2 Mossberg 835 turkey gun. The 500 was equipped with a Surefire lighted forend, side saddle loaded with 6rds of 00 buck and a buttcuff loaded with 6 slugs on a shortened OE stock. It is not a light gun. After about a hundred rounds I was too pooped to swing that heavy gun any more. 
I wouldn't mind having a plain jane 12ga pump gun with a full length choked barrel for hunting purposes. |
