Negative, the only other gunsmith in town was at Cassatt gun and pawn before he closed... and he trained the guys at GPI. They are the only game in town.

I have not been happy with GPI's work or their turnaround time. ADCO is the way I will go next time.

Really?  I gave my upper to GPI for a pin and weld and they gave it back to me the next day for less than it would have been to send it to Adco and back.

Agreed, they do great work. They have cut multiple barrels for me, done my SBR engraving, and NFA transfers. I am very glad someone in Jax stepped up.

They did such a good job for me that it took 4 months of my time and ended up costing them 600 of their dollars to replace the BBL in the end. I have used them for SBR engraving and have been happy but I wont be using them for any future BBL work.

They did one SBR job for me a while back for my SW5 to be cut and thread, and this was the end result....I'm sending my FN SCAR MK16 to ADCO...I had 3 guns refinished by GPI and they did a great job. I'll still go to them for those jobs but not on any barrel/SBR work.

I forgot what they said how my barrel ended like that when I saw what they did to it....

Too bad... they did a great job on my 10FP cut down and thread. You may want to try Chuck. Gainseville isn't that far. He's busy... but does outstanding work.

There is at least one other machinist in town who does barrel work, but for whatever reason he doesn't advertise.
