I'M HOME!!! 
Took me 3 days, 2,000 miles, 6 states, three time zones, 7 fuel stops, a dozen doubleshots, half a case of water, 3 hotel stays and a few dead braincells, but I'm finally here...  to all my Arizona bretheren.

Yes, then plate is a FLorida plate, that TBL sticker had gotten me into as many jams as it got me out of; lucky for me the LEO block on my DL took care of my run-ins with the FHP. 
I'm living in Green Valley, close to the Titan Missile Museum; I work for US Customs & Border Protection at the Nogales POE. I am gonna ditch the plate next week, when i get paid, already got my new DL, and i registered Republican; Tell Rizzo, I got his ammo can ready.  Hope he likes .40S&W.
Oh yeah, I will be tossing illegals over the fence to make it an Olympic Sport. 
Did my fair share of "booting out' UDAs (un-Documented Aliens) when i did my TDY in Nogales back in November; probably the reason i fell in love with the state and decided to come here permanently. Been mesmerized by the landscape and the rather nice weather we've been having; Put the Z through it's paces earlier today, driving from the Wal-Mart to the Fry's (about 8 miles away) and my car was accelerating and i was like "WOO-HOO!" I'm liking it already.

What is the deal with all the stickers on MP? Haven't seen it on other MP Zeros. I stopped there for a similar pic almost a year ago to catch a nice dusk but was in a hurry to get to PHX. You might have noticed it's a long drive from most of Texas.

When you stop seeing Rest Stops and start seeing Parking Stops (same as a Rest Stop, but no bathrooms and nothing more than trash cans and maybe a gazeebo or two, but nothing around you for miles... 
THis was in Katy, TX (I think) in the middle of the mountaisn, verey scenic and I loved the enviornment,. 
The rest stop was at the top of a hill,so you have a great view of the area... 
Then there was this POS, stop; in the middle of the vast emptiness of Texas, with ghost towns all around and nothing but buzzards overhead... 
Seriously, nothing for miles and miles - not even radio reception. It made for a very boring drive.,. 
However, the sunset was beautiful... Overall, i think this was one heck of a journey through the belly of America; i really enjoyed it and if i ever do this again??? I'M TAKING A PLANE.

Nice pics. That was west of Katy. Texas has a couple of armpits then there is that region between the sack and exit chute, that would be Houston. Katy is burb thereof. I'm in Dallas so I don't pick up I-10 until just beyond Waythehelloutthere. Went to FL on vacation when I was kid and coming back I remember getting to the TX state line and the first mileage sign was Beaumont XX and El Paso was something like 857. I thought I'd sure hate to know I have travel all the distance and still be in the same state.
Enjoy! When I went there for the first time I didn't really want to go but the GF had family there so we took a trip out there to see them. Been going back every chance we have since then. I thought of moving there but have deep roots here and have decided that I don't want to corrupt it work and responsibility. Jester Still a Texan |

Welcome! I lived in Flodida (Orlando) for a year back in 2001/02 and couldn't wait to get back here. That beautiful AZ state line sign is the best sight in the world. I actually got out and kissed the ground when I got home in '02. This was up on RT 60 coming in from NM.
And if you try to make an Olympic sport from "illegal tossing", make sure they aren't midgets..the ACLU will have a fit! Thank You. |

Thanks for all the good wishes; I feel this move has been a long time coming. I don't hate Florida... on the contrary, I had good memories of my time there, but now, I feel is time for me to make new memories and enjoy my time here; sure, the work is gonna take most of my time, but I can always squeeze in a little trigger time in here and it seems I will have beacoup fun shooting stuff.

Sweet! No CD player in the truck, so i depended on my iPhone, so i was listening to a lot of Pantera, Rammstein and of all bands, Queen.  Hey! "Bohemian Rhapsody" is still a kickass tune.
OK, now i have to get acquainted with you yokels; any plans to do a shoot in the Tucson Aarea anytime soon? Hewll, I'll drive to Phoenix if need be (my buddy lives nearby, so I can crash in his and get entertained (or annoyed) by his adorable kids) |
