I'd like to organize a weekend shoot in the northern part of the state in the near future. Somewhere in Larimer or Weld county where we can camp overnight and shoot to our heart's content.
I'm trying to identify some good spots, so if you guys have any suggestions, let me know. |

So far it's me and team leader. Anyone else so I can get a headcount I may be able to make it. I have to look up where that is...I live in Thornton. If BJ's is a restaurant, I would probably be lame and just get a water  - I got laid off last month, so it's not fair to the family to go spend money.  I would enjoy getting out though! 
Also, I have a bunch of ammo stored up for we end up going shooting as well/instead.

^^There's an offroad truck "event" (driver sign up/veh. registration) @ Southside Johnnys Friday the 15th, 5-8 pm. Should be fun if your into that. So far, I'm planning on going. PM if you'd like to meet up! Sounds fun, but I was stuck on the tail end of a field problem Friday. If anyone wants to get together next weekend in the springs i'm down. Ill probably bring 2-3 other arfcommers with me that dont hit the HTF much. |

There's a small hill which would be a perfect backstop for 50-100 yard shooting, and for farther shots, there's a valley on the other side that should be ok (we'll need to scout it a bit more to be 100% sure). The road getting into the spot is a tad rough, but its no worse then the roads to Lake Terryall, and probably a bit better :) |

I'll take pictures tomorrow when I pull up stakes and head out. I am currently camped on a small hill next to the spot in question. On top of the hill, Verizon has excellent coverage, as well as good amateur radio access to the Fort Collins repeaters.
I'll check the cell coverage at the spot below tomorrow when I take pictures. |
