Guys I know i'm probably preaching to the choir here, but I need to vent.

and this type of venting would get me in trouble at my job, being surrounded by psychotic liberals, so I have to do it here.

On yahoo's homepage right now, there is actually an article vilifying Mother Teresa. Mother freaking Teresa! They talk about how she wasn't actually saintly and that she was cruel and a bad person.

I mean for fucks sake people.... I don't believe a word they say, but many other people do. And Mother Teresa? A bad person. Isn't she glorified by the entire country of India as a caring woman, who bathed the lepers and cared for the plague ridden victims of the country? and she isn't saintly. Why would anyone want to vilify her.

fuck me I am angry as all hell this AM!

And MSNBC is pushing "statistics" that shows states with the most gun control laws have the fewest "gun deaths", what it really shows is that liars sure can use statistics to further lie.

We are in this together, and we are under attack in every way on every day. Hang tough, bro!

I saw that BS yesterday on Yahoo as well.

Like my dad always tells me, Since statistics don't lie, lie about the statistics.

Its one thing to go after us "tough, gun toting zealots" but attacking a woman who did nothing but help people to make themselves feel better is enough to make any REAL MAN want to go knock some people around!

I think some people in India feel resentment towards her because much of the world associated India with Mother Teresa, and they felt that they are more than her, they have a rich history and culture and did not want to be identified solely by her charity efforts there.  Also keep in mind that many in India believed in a caste system of untouchables that Mother Teresa completely rejected in order to care for the very people that nobody would dare to touch.

I am very fortunate to have met her on multiple occasions.  She was truly an amazing woman.  There was a person from Britain who wrote a book about her, claiming she was not a holy person and a fraud.  People will do whatever they want and try to discredit good things and good people.  She was criticized for not trying to eliminate poverty.  Well, she knew she could not eliminate poverty, and that was not her purpose.  Her purpose was to alleviate suffering and to care for the sick and dying.  She operated in an area of the world with extreme poverty and even apathy: a culture which enshrined a disregard for untouchables and people with certain sickness and diseases.  Mother Teresa held, hugged, kissed, and loved individuals who had family members that would not care for them, people who may have never experienced love in their entire lifetimes.  That is what she did, and nobody in today's world has ever come close to her.

I am very, very jealous of you my man. No sarcasm at all there. My cousins are part of her Order in Calcutta, and I know they both feel that they do so much good over there.

either way those people that attack her can all rot in the deepest pits of hell! I know that she probably wouldn't want a catholic talking that way but I'm NO Mother Teresa lol.
