[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Handgun permit

I lost my dag nab handgun permit somewhere in all of the papers I have in my house. This already happened once and they acted like I commited a crime or something when I went to get another one. This was about 4 or 5 months ago. What should I do? Should I just go get another one or keep looking (even though I doubt I will ever find it, I tore the damn house apart). Anyone else have this happen to them in Nebraska.

I feel kind of stupid asking for something that says I am responsible enough to own a firearm and losing the damn paper twice. I don't really believe in the whole permit thing anyway or else maybe I would be a little more responsible with it. I know one thing, when I get another one I am not freaking losing it again!

Correct me if I am wrong.
It is a permit for purchase only, not for ownership.

Anyway, go back and get another one. If you went to the police last time, go to the sheriff's office this time.

just for reference, i get those hunting cover things, cover it good and keep it in my wallet. you never know when you may need to buy a gun! :)

Yeah I went to the sherrif so maybe I can go to the police statin this time or something. Yes it is just for buying, but I want to find a club to join around here like weeping water, and they want you to have a permit. Thanks for you help.
