[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Handgun transfer

My father passed away and left me his service revolver (he was PA Game Commission) in his will. What steps do I need to take to tranfer this to me here in MD? Does it go thru FFL or can I go to the state police barracks with the death certificate and a check for $10.

Do you live in MD? Makes a difference. If you do and he did, I wouldn't worry about it, personally.

If he was in PA and it goes across state lines, I would take your approach.

He lived in PA. I live in Md.

Hold on. There are some exceptions for intestate succession (I believe that is how it is worded) or inheritance.
