Well, last Sunday i took a couple AR's to Banner that haven't seen action for a while.(as well as the usual suspects)
While the 2 i've been shooting for accuracy at 100yds with irons shot fine, the 2 "guests" were nothing but FTF's and FTE and have to knock cases out. Wel... maybe they're dirty.... Long story short, my .223 dies i bought in 1977 have slowly wore out and all my reloads are too big. They chamber in a couple rifles,(2 at least) but not all. I sent the dies back to RCBS,(they replace them for free, for life, but it takes 2-4 weeks) but in order to not be dead in the water, i bought another set today. The difference betwween the old dies and the new dies is .015" .015" might as well as BE a inch, thats HUGE. That's untold thousands of pulls on that handle. Now i have to decide whether i just shoot the "big " ammo in the rifles that will, or pull bullets and start over. And i'm not talking about 100 rounds either. It's bad enough i have to re-resize all the brass that just got resized, but pulling all them bullets would not be fun. I tried taking the decapping / neck sizer rod out and resizing a live round, didn't work so well, that's out. Not to mention scary. I'm so happy i could just fart. |

I'm not recommending it, but it'll work |
