| I did it back many years ago when I was in college. It was early May and the weather was nice starting out. By the time we got to the top it was raining and snowing on us. The hike itself isn't hard and some of the views are awesome on the way up. Craziest thing I remember... there are little wild ponies that live there. |

Yes, it was on my bucket list and I checked it off Memorial Day weekend. It was awesome. IIRC it was a touch over 9 miles, but that included an unintentional detour because I can’t read trail markings  I did the out and back from the Massie Gap parking lot at Grayson Highlands. The only challenging part honestly was the mileage. Got to see the highland cows and the wild ponies on the return trip. Attached File |
| I have done it, but it was over 30 years go when I was on spring break from Va. Tech. There is no view from top, but you can say you have been there. IIRC there is an adjacent peak called Buzzard's Knob where you get something like a 270 degree panoramic view. I remember it being a tough hike, and I was 20 years old at the time. |
