Has anyone bought a membership in the name of Alice Johnson (Honcho for Georgians for Gun Safety) to GCO?

No but this bring up an interesting point. What are the membership rules for Georgians for Gun safety and how many of us would it take to create a voting block large enough to change our organizations direction!

It'd be interesting to take a look at their paperwork.  Are they a not-for-profit?  Registered anywhere?

We have someone looking into their tax filings as we speak.

This sounds like fun.    They are like a group that does not really exist.  I looked into them one time for this exact same reason.  Their telephone number is for a children's advocacy group with a similar mailing address.  I used to have a website for the unofficial group Georgians Against Criminal Violence (which apparently has been taken down since I haven't updated it in 10 years) so any fool can put up a website or even pay the $35 a year to be an LLC.

I just went to the Americans for Gun Safety website, of which GFGS is / was an affiliate, and got this:

"Americans for Gun Safety (AGS) and the AGS Foundation (AGSF) have been folded into Third Way, an organization founded and operated by the former AGS and AGSF management team.

For Third Way’s latest gun safety policy and message guidance, please visit our gun issues page. There you can also find reports produced by AGS in a special sub-category.

For current gun safety data and other information, we recommend the American Hunters and Shooters Association, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, and Mayors Against Illegal Guns."
