I have stopped going in Elmore's all together on saturdays because of his extremly ignorant and irritating sales help. Namely Jason and Mike their mere presence puts the normally even tempered Russ in one lousy mood that he doesn't have during the week days. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same way?

I'm glad you had a good experience on saturday, the half dozen times or so I have been in on saturday this year weren't more than not. I just started going in midweek week and the atmosphere is totally different and a much more enjoyable experience. Maybe it's just be me |
Im glad you siad it I hate to crack on people but you are 100% right on about Mike.

Last time I was in, Russ was tryin' to talk my current girlfriend into staying for blue margaritas! I've only been in on one Saturday, and Russ was in a good mood, (probably cause I bought a Wilson), but then again, I've only ever dealt with Russ or Quietshootr when I've been in. Most of the other guys don't seem to really give a shit, so I deal with Russ!

I havnt been in there since they moved and I couldnt find it the one time it tried but I dont live in Indy anymore, but I did live in the "Polo Run" aptmnts a lifetime ago. I do have to say I still remember the recent donation drive to buy the DSA for the returning vet and I gave $50 and the fact that they did that means they deserve a bit of slack. But then again if I walk into a shop and get ignored or treated like poop I get PO'd myself. Hard to blame a whole shop cause one guy isnt Mr.Personality but then its up to the owner to deal with it or suffer the loss of sales due to it. |
| I don't really shop Elmore's anymore. I don't know who's who in there, but it shouldn't matter. I'm just not impressed with the attitude that is presented by those behind the counter. Maybe the "regulars" who know everybody get treated okay, but they sure gave me the impression that I was inconveniencing them with my mere existence. I'll take my business to a friendlier shop. |
Go in during the week and it's a whole different place, alot more friendly and Russ and George are very helpfull and knowledgeable. I'm convinced that saturday is let the dumshits come in and work day

Unfortunately, a lot of gun shops have part-timers on weekends; who feel very "big-headed" after getting a job at a gun shop. If I don't get treated well, I'll take my hard earned money to another shop that appreciates my business. Too much competition to keep getting the shaft from a business that doesn't want to respect their customers. |

I went in there one day to browse while on leave, and one of them called me "Boy". I don't know who it was, Don't care either. Calling me Son would have been okay. Buddy, Pal, Sir, Compadre, or Man would all've been permissible. But they called me "Boy". I'm 23 and a Combat Veteran. Call me "Boy" again, and I'll reach across that counter and deck you. I didn't say a word, walked out and haven't been there since. |
| It just irks me that someone could refer to me as such after I've been shot at defending our great country, and they call me "Boy". They don't know me, and don't know who I am or where I've been. I find it down right disrespectful. I would think that someone who was looking to sell a product would be more respectful to their potential customers, but that's just me. Especially if their income was based on comission. |
Was it a big lazy man-child that was to busy stuffing his face or playing with the flashlights? I've seen him ignore customers doing those two things many times
