Hello, I'm new to Ar15.com and pretty new to actually shooting guns (what I mean here is that all my life I've really loved them just haven't shot them)A few weeks back my friend and I were up at my cousins cottage and he had along his Mosin, well I just loved it. I had shot a 22 before but that was about it. Then we went to a gunshow and he bought an AR, I have always wanted one but when I held it I knew I was going to get one, and started looking around. I have decided on a Bushy but have to sell all my Paintball gear first (wife says so besides I can't afford that anymore)  I'm 27 and live in the West Bend Area, Lucky me I am coming into this as the AWB should sunset. Yay!! Anyway I look forward to learning from you all and plan on coming to one of the shoots, maybe even in August. I'm just glad to have found a place with such a wealth of info and cool peeps.

Welcome on board. I'm sure you'll find lots that interest you here. Check out the other sections, too. I've had an AR for about 3 years and still find that it's the most fun to shoot.

Happy Shooting

If you're just getting started, the August shoot would be a good place to run into all manner of neat guns...

Make your first rifle a 20" A2 (eg just like the military one, but semi-auto only)... That way if you ever decide you want to try a rifle match, you won't need a new gun/upper)...

Welcome...

Actually I'm not really into the competing to much. I got into tourney Paintball and found that for the most part comp brings out the worst in people. Just getting together with people and having a good time like with our pick up games in the woods was a blast. I'm looking at the Bushy 16in M4 type Carbine, I'm a commetics guy and even though the barrel is post ban I think it looks cool. the only thing i think I'll put on it for now is the Aimpoint. I was wondering if any of you guys game? Call of Duty? Battlefield? Medal of Honor?

Not seriously an not to often right now, I mostly stick to ghost recon or halo. I'm also a counter strike fan,, but haven;t played that in a long time.
