Hey Folks, new member here, new AR owner also

Bought a Bushmaster A2 lower earlier this month, and just last Friday picked up a couple Fulton Armory uppers for it.
I bought a 20" .22LR flat-top and a 24" 5.56 flat-top. Took the 24" out to Myrtle Grove SP today.

I'm in Waldorf and do most of my shooting at Myrtle Grove on Sundays.

Did you build your lower or did you buy it pre-assembled?  I just built my first lower and I hope to get my upper in a month or so, depends if I'm going to get this CZ-75 or not.

                  Welcome

I got it from Fulton also, they are ~$500.

The hand guard got pretty warm at the range today, I'm thinking about wrapping it with some heavy cloth.

warm is okay, hot is okay, smoking is not and wraping cloth around it will only make it worse, it wont let the heat out. edit : with the setup on that upper its not a rapid fire rifle, you need to slow down a little

i can run 3 30 rounds thru mine pretty fast and it wont be too hot to hold, also what is the barrel profile, is it a hbar ?

edit: dont type before viewing pics

Scotty- I figured I shot around 240 rounds in a couple hours.

It's .812 from the muzzle to the gas block, and I think it's .920 from the gasblock to the breach.
