Just wanted to say Hi and I really enjoyed England and Scotland. I went there the summer of 2005 and had a blast. Everybody was real nice and friendly. I was in London 3 days before the subways got bombed. I was in Germany when it happened. I hope to return someday to Europe and will definitely stop by Scotland and England again. Edinburgh was awesome. Went to a pub and a guy was playing Sweet Home Alabama. Made us feel right at home. Anyways just wanted to say hi and hopefully will be returning in the near future. WD

WD Welcome to the UK HTF! Hopefully you'll find us on the board to be as friendly as the people you met when you were over here. |

I'll second that! My wife and I were in London for 4 days in September, and absolutely loved it. We stayed in a small hotel in Bayswater, and walked over to Portobello Road in Saturday morning to the antique market there. Bought some nice old English silver (which we'll be using tonight at supper).
We're flying back to the UK in March, and will spend about a week in London, then on to Paris and Luxembourg. We managed to squeeze in a 2 day tour of Normandy last trip, and next time will try to take a tour of the Batte of the Bulge area in Luxembourg and Belgium. And I don't care what people say about British food.... We thought it was great! Hurrah for bangers and mash! |

Thanks......I wish you fellas would post this in GD.
The number of Brit Bashing threads is amazing and it's always the ones who have never been. Having said that , we like the sport.
Personally I think it would be good to arrange an ARFCOM Brit week at Bisley. Shoot, get pissed, organised trips to interesting things and generally have a damned good time. I'd take a week off work for it
