Just wanted to say hello from Long island. I was an avid shooter back in the mid to late 90's, took a break but now I'm starting back up. Just finished my black rifle Scott |

Out of curiosity.. where do you Suffolk guys shoot? I've only been out to Calverton which I like, but I'm always up to check out a new place. pete L.I. Ranges For a warm indoor fix Nassau County range in the Mitchell Field Sports Complex is great. Brookhaven is a bit more strict than Calverton but the covered shooting benches and cement under your feet can be nice. |

Buffalo here.... BEFORE you start throwing barbs about the weather and how we lost four Super Bowls - including one to the Giants...... Just looking for an assist from my "downstate" brothers... I've been told that there is a new, interactive range located somewhere down on the Island. It may be located closer to the city and might be called something like of "American Defense Institute..." Or something similiar.... I'm told its a great design and very modern... sounds great- haven't heard though... Massapequa here. Mitchell Field (if you don't have a county leisure pass its more expensive, Calverton and once to shoot trap at Brookhaven. |

Is it open to the public? I quickly perused their site and get the feeling it's geared more to the LEO/.mil crowd, but I could be wrong. It's actually in my hometown (Hicksville). I've seen it from the train a few times, but never knew what it was. Has alot of military vehicles (mostly excavators and HMMV's) out back... |
