As yall know deer season is coming up and I was fortunate enough to get an invite from a buddy out near T or C to hunt mule deer. My question for tags is:
Does being in the Army Reserves give me any kind of out-of-state discount for mule deer tags? I've looked on the Website and I couldn't get a solid answer. Thanks in advance. -Klick |
| Hope you know to hunt the canyons there. Otherwise, it's 400 yards + shot. I grew up in Southern NM (back when a deer/bear/turkey license was $10 at K-Mart). Remember, tree stands and corn feeders are a no-no here. If you're the typical Texan, and use a 4 wheeler to hunt, it's a good thing you're on private land. |

Absolutely beautiful land! If you need a bud to hunt with on your buds land, I;m here! That is very generous of you to go out of your way to ensure he has a successful hunt. I bet he has to reconsider all of that negative press about how Texans aren't welcome in NM! |
| I know allllll about the anti-Texas sentiment. A few years back my best friend's dad (land owner and we're all from Texas) and his buddies were up there hunting one season. One of his buddies was an ex pathfinder/ranger and was quick to fight....well some of the locals at this tiny bar called the Winston bar were giving them shit saying "we don't appreciate you Texans coming out here and hunting our deer" to which he replied "Well....while you're out hunting your deer, we at your house fuckin' your wife..." Needless to say they got out of there quick. |
