[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help from IL LEOs

I was just looking for any LEOs out there, especially in Illinois that have a policy for personally owned rifles. Our department already has rifles, but I'm looking to take it to the next step so guys can start using their own. I like the idea of having a rifle that is set up specifically to the person who carries it instead of one that set up for everyone.

Anyone who has such a policy, I would really appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks. I tried that too, just hoping I'd get a little more of a local response here as that will help me more when it comes time to plea my case with the department.
