I am new to maryland and i am selling a md registered handgun to another member here.  I live in randallstown and he lives in rockville.  Does anyone know a good FFL or state police barracks thats is halfway between these two towns?  also what is the average cost of the transfer?  Thanks

Jessup Pawn would probably be right about halfway for both of you.

Any FFL will likely charge you more than the State Police.
You should be able to go to any state police barracks at anytime and fill out the paper work.
All you need is a $10 check, the firearm, and both of your drivers licenses.
I emphasize should, because several people have had trouble with AR lowers at the police barracks
but if it's just a pistol you should have no problems.

WRONG!  You still have the 8 day waiting period.  So you both go fill out paperwork, you take the gun home., after 8 days, you can legally pass the regulated firearm to your buyer, no matter if you hear from the Police.  I personally want to get paperwork from the MSP - "Not Denied".  SO I would not release a firearm until I got that paper.

Also, you should call the barracks beforehand. Most have specific hours for this.

And, make sure you transport the firearm legally to and from the barracks...unloaded, lock, etc. Leave it in a locked vehicle until the trooper asks you to bring it in to verify the SN.

When you click on then MD, DE, DC, HTF there is a shaded resource area at the top.

I would start there. Some are out dated but most are still good. I have to get to updating them.
