I want to buy one of LaRue's barrels for a new build. This will be used with a Saker suppressor

I can't decide between the PredatAR and the Stealth. Which would you pick?

Not much info about these barrels.  I don't even see where it mentions what they are made out of.

I would say go with the heavier profile stealth if you are going to hang a can off it most of the time.

The barrels are made out of LW-50 stainless.

I like the lighter weight of the PredatAR but am worried that hanging a suppressor off the end of a 16" barrel may be an issue. I am leaning toward the Stealth.

That is my thought.  It will be fine on the lighter barrel profile but I believe that you will get a little less droop and whip with the Stealth.

I hung my 762-SDN-6 off a pencil barrel and it seemed a bit much.  Haven't had a chance to try it with the new Saker yet though.

An older LaRue 12" Stealth barrel (stainless, before they made their own) shot this group at 100yds with a mil-spec trigger, $140 optic, an old AWC Optima suppressor, and my shaky hands.  The new barrels made in-house are supposed to be even more accurate.

I would buy a Stealth instead of PredatAR if I had the money, but that's just me.

I ordered the Stealth barrel. LaRue has a sale for 50% off right now. So for $199 I can get one of their barrels. This puts it in the range of most name brand barrel so I thought, "why not?".

I have two of their mounts and the quality is very good. So when they offered the MBT triggers a while back at half priced I grabbed two. They are also excellent. I can't tell them apart from the Geiselle SSAs I have in most of my ARs.

I've been waiting for the MBT to go on sale. I've wanted to try one and see how it compares to the Geissele triggers. Last week it went on sale and sold out in 18 hours. Maybe next time. I've been looking at the barrels but I just purchased a preban receiver so I need to replenish the funds again. To many parts and not enough funds.

I hear that. I sold a couple items and Black Friday has caused me to spend a good portion of it.

Bought some ammo, an ACOG, a few new work bench toys and a LaRue barrel so far.

Geiselle has a Black Friday sale of 25% off triggers and a cyber Monday price of $115 for a G2S. You should jump on this. it is as good as the MBT.
