The rehab hurts. The only good thing is the therapist is a cute little thing who is very good at what she does.
It seems where they cut the lower two bones in half and installed the titanium rod/plastic platform hurts the worst.
The upper titanium knuckle they put in doesn't seem to hurt much.
And then there is the knee cap. They cut the inside bottom off and glue plastic to the bottom so is will slide over the titianium knuckle. That may or may not hurt. But when it does, it's just one big dull ache that makes you feel your heart thumping in your ears.
I'll get by, but it ain't fun by any means.
This is what the install prosthetic device looks like in my knee:

ETA This is what the knee looked like two weeks after the surgery, the day they removed the staples.

I ain't gonna lie to you. It hurts like you wouldn't believe. I've got an ear thumper of an ache right now and I'm going to rehab in an hour and a half.
All I can say is in a year or two I won't notice the knee aches anymore. It's been a long time since I snuck up a creek while deer hunting or turkey hunting.

SysOps,  Dan doesn't have anything else to get to. That picture of the staples in Dans "leg" was actually his mangina that they were trying to tighten up. Apparently his mangina was creating too much of a vortex between his legs that couldn't be plugged. So they stapled it shut, for the most part, they left room for Patricia and Chuck to be able to root around in.

Ndenway, .tThey ain't gonna put you in a casket, that's for sure. All it will take is a large enema and they'll put what's left of you in an envelope to slip under the tombstone.
They had me on some medication called Amiodarone. It is based on iodine.
I've had to stay out of the sun because of that med for three years.
So yeah, I'm gonna look like white bread.

, hell that's one of the reasons why I'm gonna be cremated.

I like to imagine that the crematory is gonna smell like bbq'd bacon and deep fried cracklin's

yeah those meds have some nasty side effects, last year I had a 6 month script for the antibiotic doxycicline(sp) for the bad assed eye infection I had that's still causing problems, shit that stuff made me light sensative as hell, I think the floresents(sp) and sodium vapors at work were causing me to get a bit darker cause I wasn't seeing much daylight, hell at one point in august or so if my hair was fuzzy ya'll wouldn't have been calling me Ndenway.
