Just came here to post it. Already hit it. You also should check out what is going on in Burlington and the upper valley (specifically Norwich) for meetings regarding gun control. Mike Yeah, not impressed with the liberal attitudes of some of these towns. The knee jerk reactions of people is scary! |

You should try having contact with the people face to face daily. They are the ones who STILL leave their doors unlocked. They have no thought or concept that they will be victimized. In the Town I work for we had more burglaries by April '12 that we did in all of '11. That person got a sweet deal from the courts...no jail time (deferred sentence) and mental health counseling. No doubt the mental health needs to be addressed, but while he is in jail and off the streets. This was not first time he has been caught either. This is not the first time, but it makes the future that much darker.

So far only 149 people have voted but its a good start. Maybe link that in a more widely read board? I know I'm late to the party and sorry OP, but I have to second that sentiment. All the "Hit The Gun Poll" posts should go in general Discussion (imho). The results of a poll in GD can be devastating to antigunners as my local liberal rag found out. |

Your Probably right but I never go to GD so didnt even think of it. Actually before they pulled it it was 70% for guns in schools, 9% for strict gun laws, 12% for mental health, and the rest split between other and end culture of violence |
