| So I am finally wearing out my cheap Uncle Mike's holster and am in need of some ideas for a new more better holster. The price was right at the time i bought this holster, but I think its time to get some thing nicer and safer. A G23 is what normally resides on my person when I carry. Sometimes on my light days i will pull the wife's beretta 85fs out of the safe, but thats rare. Only real requirements are that it needs to be somewhat comfortable, and I would like to be able to run with it when need be (like short distances, not exercise) as I cannot do that with out fear of my concealedness being compromised with the uncle mikes. Any thoughts? |
I used to carry my G23 in a Milt Sparks EX holster but I've changed over to a Low-Rider IWB from www.rmholsters.com/ I really prefer kydex now that I'm used to it. It conceals better than any other holster I've tried and it retains well without slowing the draw too much. |

I daily carry a Glock 30 in a Safariland 527. Every now and then I'll carry the 21 instead in the same holster. Best holster I've ever owned, very comfy, and price is right. www.lapolicegear.com/sa527cobeho.html |

I just had to decide the same thing. It was time for a new holster. something comfortable, secure, well concealed, IWB, not take a year to get, and less than $100. I ended up ordering a Crossbreed Super Tuck. I just found many positive reviews on it. it met all of my needs and style of carry. Im sure you can run with it, comfortably. I go running with a cheapo IWB. If I can survive that, this will be cotton candy. theres also a 10% off your order sale right now too. It was between this holster and the Comp-Tac MTAC I decided on the ST because the backing material is thinner, more reviews (especially reviews for my exact gun), and I like to keep things simple. and the clips appear more secure. Im really looing forward to it. Crossbreed Supertuck Comp-Tac MTAC |
I have one of those for my sig and love it. |
| My carry holster is the CTAC and I love it. At forst I was skeptical about it because it is all polymer. I was worried about it digging in on my side but I was completely wrong. I can wear the holster all day long without any issues. The best part is that you can tuck a shirt in during the summer and still carry;l no more big over shirt to comceal the weapon. |
I got the same thing for my PT-100 and I love it! Best holster I have EVER USED! + They are a local company |

Lynn and I both use kydex holsters from FIST www.fist-inc.com/holsters/ They do pretty good work at a reasonable price. They also don't have a problem with custom work. BSW |
I have both the crossbreed supertuck for my Sig 232 and a C-Tac MTAC for my Sig 239. I've carried the Crossbreed for much longer than the MTAC, since I just got the MTAC last night. Everything is true about the Crossbreed. Incredibly comfortable, very thin backing, low profile. You can wear it against skin and forget it's there. I will say I'm very impressed by the MTAC so far. Super high quality, much better at first blush than the Crossbreed. However, the higher construction quality results in a bigger holster (besides the fact that a 239 is bigger than a 232). Long term I intend to carry the 239 much more than the 232, for caliber alone (.40 vs .380). But sometimes comfort is more critical, and the Crossbreed has certainly proven itself comfortable. |
I just bought a G19 this week, so no VM2 yet (26 weeks to go). But I do wear VM2's for every other gun that I belt carry. It's been the most comfortable holster I've ever worn. I do have a CTAC coming for my G19 to hold me over till Milt Sparks ships. |
