Here's my second prototype of my homemade dump pouch, based on the design of the Military Moron Rolly Polly dump pouch.  Folded, ready to attach to belt with ALICE clips (the two tabs on the back)  Open, with a 30 round mag for comparison  Filled with 7 30 rounders. It will also take the 7 mags sitting horizontally, or 6 just thrown in haphazardly. |
Well, I would just love to outfit the whole GA chapter of ARFCOM with these, but they are too much of a pain in the arse to make . On the plus side, Maxpedition carries an almost identical model (I stole their design) and they sell theirs for around $20, as opposed to mine which would come out to something like $200 if you factor in the time to make it, the time I spent scratching my head (and certain other parts of my anatomy, but I digress), the hassle of getting the materials, me squashing my thumb on the sewing machine, and the emotional pain of my mother saying that I sew better than she does  . The Maxpedition one would probably have some kind of warranty and QA/QC, and as a bonus, is also made by some Taiwanese guy  Here's my gift to you, the Maxpedition link |
