I've been up to the Oklahoma Heart Hospital twice tonight. (I live about two miles away.)
A dead friend's wife had a heart procedure this afternoon and is in there over night. Her daughter flew in from New Jersey for the procedure but they canceled it from Friday until today and she had to go back yesterday. It sucks being in the hospital and not having anyone there with you. I've spent probably 6 weeks in hospitals in the last 5 years having knees replaced, heart surgery, abnormal heart beat, etc. Being in the hospital sucks big time. I'm going to go back up there in a couple of hours and check on her. I know I woke up several times different hospitals in terrible pain and my wife being there helped me get through some bad, bad times. Hospitals are depressing places but I learned a long time ago a smiling face will help people get through some hard times. If you can help someone in a situation like she's in, do it. You can't believe how much it will help someone recover and help keep their attitudes up. It may be your turn in the bucket some day and then you'll appreciate someone being there to help you. What goes around, comes around. |

yep, been in the hospital several times in my life.
it's always good to see a friendly face you know..................at least for a little bit, then you're ready for them to gtfo so you can rest up a bit cause the nurses wake you up every hour and a half to take you vitials and ask if you need anything
