| I've never been to Vegas but plan on coming out in January. What are the better hotels to stay at? |

I'm looking for a hotel, something with gambling on site and preferably a good bar/restaurant. Um, that would be a large percentage of the hotels in this town. Gotta be a little more specific, part of town, reason for visiting, who you're coming with, etc. |

I'm not sure who I'm going to bring with me yet but the age category would be between 20-25. |

four seasons is ultra high end, and actually inside part of the Mandalay Bay and, IIRC, doesn't have any gaming in it, proper... but the casino floor of the Mandalay is right there.
if you're coming for something at the convention center almost anything on the strip, or near it will work, just choose what matches your budget. they will run from dives with hourly rates, to the high end four and five star stuff. choose whatever fits your budget. i've only seen rooms in a few of them when friends were here in town. the Hard Rock Hotel had nice rooms, but probably not as cheap as some other options. Greek Isles, Riviera, Circus-Circus and Imperial Palace were all acceptable, but definitely not the elegant suites you see in the movies, at least not for the cheaper rates. taxis are everywhere around the strip and the monorail has a stop at the convention center. so if you're not within walking distance, it's not hard to get to the convention center. there's a cluster of good restaurants near the convention center centered around Paradise and Flamingo; PF Chang's, Gordon Biersch (microbrewery with great beer and food), Lawry's, Bucca De Beppo, Cozymel, Z Tejas and more. all depends on what you want to eat what you want to pay. The Hard Rock has Mr. Lucky's which is a decent 24 hour coffeeshop with a view of the casino floor, and Morton's steakhouse which is really nice. BARS ARE EVERYWHERE and there's no last call.

Bobby motel on Boulder Hwy in HENDERSON. With in walking distance of centermass firearms. a cab ride from the airport to this part of town is $60, one way. plus tip.
cheaper for someone visiting for SHOT to spend more for a room on or near the strip, save travel time and get nicer digs closer to the show. |

There are approximately 20 hotel casinos in close proximity to the shot show. most if not all will have free buses to the shot show. The closest is the Hilton
If you are on a budget check downtown and see if they have buses going. The show is at Paradise and Desert inn. It's just a matter of how much you can or want to spend. http://www.vegas.com/lounge/map.html
