I don't have anything to build right now, but I do need to borrow some build tools. I think my barrel nut isn't torqued down enough, and it appears to be shifting ever so slightly enough to throw off my BUIS zero while shooting. Anyone available in NW Houston with the tools and time to help out a relative newb get his AR running right? I have a Ar multi-tool, just no blocks or vise, etc. |

I'm in Cypress, but a drive to Magnolia/Hockley area isn't much for me :D I'd be glad to take you up on your offer. I work a funky rotating schedule at work, so I'm off this Thursday-Saturday. If you're free any time soon PM me and I can bring my stuff out to your place. I definately appreciate it. |

Thanks for the offer Rino, I made it out to CMOS' place yesterday and he got me squared away. I can vouch for CMOS, great guy, and it's a very nice drive out to his place. If I'm off the day of the build (whenever it is) I'll try to come on out to hang out and grill/swill with you guys :D |
With a 12 Ton press what kind of build party do you think we are going to have ? If some one is selling a kit for a 105mm Howitzer let me know.

Okay guys. My garage is Gas Grill is available on Saturday February 2nd. Let me know if this works for the majority of you. Suggest we start about 11 AM so we have plenty of time to build and EAT.  If so, I would appreciate if some of you could bring some burgers buns, chips, etc. I'll have some of the basic fixins (mayo, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, etc.). I have a 4" vice bolted down to a sturdy workbench that works well for AR's. Not sure what you guys may need to build an AK. I also have compressed air, basic tools, Dremmel, AR15 vice block and armorers wrench. I can even do a pretty good trigger job on the mil spec hammer & trigger group. Also, I don't have many law chairs so if you have a fold-up please bring it. This should be fun. Thoughts? CMOS |

Craaaaaapppp..... I have to work that weekend :p And my wife is having some surgery on the 31st, so there's no way I can make it out after work or anything. Boo!! Hiss!! You guys have fun :D Unless I take a vacation my only weekend off in February will be 22nd-24th. |
Pull up a chair! Plenty of room, and plenty of food to be had. Tomorrow morning I'm going to start a new thread for this build party. We'll need to work out who's gonna bring what with the food/drinks, etc. I will have those that are going to attend IM me to get my address. Drive slowly in my neighborhood so you don't hit any deer.
