MANY folks *might* be offended by the following. Please keep in mind, gentle reader that my words are based upon a group decision, and are representitive to the point that the desire is to make this a true ARFCOM event, free from flagrant, unabashed Asshattery. (That isn't alcohol induced in the wee hours of the morning!) First off....fuck you Snohomish (AND as TwoConsenentsLotsaNumerals points out...Skagit, Skamania, Stevens, San Juan) guys that want to lay claim to the "SCR" brand. Fuck off, I'm using it, and you can all just STFU, have a "Important ME!"day celebration later or whatever it is you need to do to feel better, but the fact of the matter, is that in THIS particular context, SCR is being used to identify a shoot on the EAST side. Fair Enuf????  Now, secondly, after having said that and having pissed off everyone in SnoCo, all that are man (or woman!) enough to venture east are welcome to the shoot.  Down to business.... The shoot is by IM invitation only, only established members of the WAHTF or Rockie Mountian Forum are asked to attend. The reason for this is to keep the asshats away. (You *MIGHT* have read that somewheres!) We've had a couple of less than desireable types show up, display complete disregard for others, violate range etttiquite, and generally get dumb in the "No Dumb Zone". We've also had at least one extremist organization recruiter/FBI/BATF/CIA-Ninja wanna be snitch (or he may have been a complete fucking retard, it's hard to tell) show up, ask lots of dumb questions alluding to illegal activities or configurations, make racist comments and assorted derogetory remarks. He was less than impressive, and had 3 posts at the time of his request for a location. (BTW- It's in a new location, one that suits us a touch better.) We ain't doing that no more. After much deliberation and discussion witht the "founding fathers" of the shoot, we've deceided anyone with a valid ARFCOM account with over 150 posts per year (OR prorated portion after 3 months thereof in the case of new faces) are welcome to attend. You don't think it's fair? Fine...this is still an open thread, bitch away. Dates proposed are up for vote. Popular one wins. |

So I'd imagine this will include camping, etc. since it is a 3 day event. My question is how far from civilization and a toilet is this new setting (for the lightweights)? I'm thinking I probably can't make it, but like to keep my options open and know what is in store. It's probably good info for others who might be considering it also. |

What about May 26/27/28, since the 28th is Memorial Day? I'm really interested in joining y'all. Have to talk it over with the other half and find out if he's in too. I haven't been on ARFCOM 3 months, but if anybody wants to talk to me feel free to PM. I'm no supremacist, wannabe snitch, actual snitch, fed, or illegal-activity-doer. Girl scout's honor. :D I'll be taking some summer classes this year, so if I'm able to make it I won't be able to show up until late Friday or early Saturday, unless we did the Memorial Day thing.
