| Thinking of going Sunday. |
| I just got home from the show. I didn't see any great deals. One guy had Prvi .380 FMJ ammo 5 boxes of 50 for $75. Not a bad price considering how hard .380 has been to find. Saw a couple guns I was interested in but unfortunately finances prevented me from buying them. |

ammo is still going up

drove 40 minutes to middletown. walked up to the door at 2:17pm exactly. the 2 woman who sell the tickets already left, those 2 booths were closed. I tried to walk in and the guy stopped me. He was literally snarling at me like a vicious pitbull. I said "doesn't it close at 3pm? I am willing to pay, there is no one to pay, can I pay you?" He was going to explode, the biggest douchebag loser I have met in my life and believe me I have met tons of them. I had to keep my eye right on him because I was worried he would attack me or something, no lie. He was like super WWF, monster truck racing, making the craziest face at me that only a wasted drunk ready to have a bar fight makes. I was super polite the whole time. I said "hey, not trying to bust your balls, I just want to pay and go in". He said "I am not letting anyone in without a stamp" I said "here is the money can anyone stamp me? I just drove 40 minutes, dont you close at 3pm?" he said "I dont give a shit! NO ONE IS GETTING IN HERE WITHOUT A STAMP!!@##!@##$$" I will never, not even in 5 yrs when I have forgotten about this go to the middletown gunshow again. fuck that place and fuck that dude. completely ridiculous. (maybe I should also post this in GD incase him or someone who knows him or hired him sees it, someone who runs that place should probably know about this guy) |

This "show" has gotten increasingly worse over the years. Dirty, overcrowded, not enough parking, shitty tables of junk, airsoft and used crap. There was one table of AR parts, lots of flea market crap. This is no longer worth going to, and the starnge thing is, there are plenty of customers waiting in line to get in!
Someone help them! |

I got there a little before noon. Got right in, no problem parking. I got a good deal on some ammo cans . Found a Maxpedition bag for less then what I can get it shipped to my door. Also got some other little odds and ends. All in all I wasnt impressed but at the same time I found what I was looking for.
I saw some ok ammo deals.....just didnt have funds for ammo today Anyone know of any good Pa. shows?? |

wolf causes my stag to short cycle
I wish my gun would run on it, it would be cheaper so didn't even look at it. Quoted:

Which Pa. show is next week?? I think thats the show me and my freind who lives in Pa are going to. It is at the Split Rock Lodge at Lake Harmony. It is about 15 minutes from Stroudsburg and is just as big as the Valley Forge Show. I will be going either Sat. or Sun. |

I went Saturday with the girlfriend. Haven't been in 5 years so it was good to get back to a gun show.
It was crowded and I had to park out in the south 40. Didn't see any steals/deals. 24 rounds of garand ammo in 3 en-bloc clips in a baggie for $20
Like I said, it's been awhile since I went to a gunshow and last time I did go it was before the current ammo crisis. Looked at a few M39 Finns and really wanted one but they were more than I wanted to pay. Also was not really surprised at the amount of CMP supplied 1903s, Garands and Carbines on the racks at exhorbidant prices. Saw one really beat up rack grade M-1 carbine for $800
While walking the aisles, I had visions of each retailer jealously guarding their overpriced stash and mumbling over and over "Precious, precious." I'm firmly convinced the best way to buy guns these days is through the CMP, or divorce sales, or desperate-for-cash friends and neighbors. I'm tempted to put an add in the local penney saver that says "will pay cash for your military guns." |
| I skipped it. Bought a pre 64 lever off an LIF member for $360. Went to Campsite and they valued it at $500-600 retail. At least that is what the 3 they had in stock were selling for. I was happy, so I bought a minty 70's vintage Glenfield 60 off them for $100. Then went to Dick's and bought some Remington 30-06 on sale for $14.50/box, plus there is a $2.50/box rebate. Dick's had Remington R15 and R25's in stock by the way. Have not seen that in a while. How much was CMP M2 ball selling for at Middletown? Factory ammo is getting so cheap, I might just sell some of that and buy factory to replace it. |

I think I know why security might have been on edge and a little less than polite. One of the show promoters employees was hit from behind on Saturday with a tire iron. Apparently he was trying to make sure no was blocking the entrance during the show. Someone didn't like the fact he made him move his truck and hit him from behind. The victim had a broken bone or two but was able to attend on Sunday. The jerkoff was driving a white pickup with NY tags he was never caught. |
|
Oh Yeah,.....I was there sunday and I overheard the guy talking about it. The security guard who got hit is a big guy with shaggy hair. I saw him with his arm in a sling!!! I didnt realize that happened at the gunshow. I just figured it happened somewhere else !! Wow, thats horrible.Luckily the guy who was injured looks like he is in good shape and muscular. I am sure if it was an average guy he would be laid up a long time. |
|
against my better judgement and awful past experiences, I went on Sunday because, unlike last times just window shopping, I was looking for a Mossberg 500 slug gun in camo and none of the local shops had one. I couldn't find a single camo shotgun period. Tons of WW2 C&R stuff for 1000x its normal price. Never again will I go to that gun show. I say fuck every single one of those jerkoff vendors and I hope the pavilion collapses and bursts into flames for the next show. |
