| Ok it seems that Eric is busy and I am his Unofficial scribe and left hand man. Hun Farm New Years Eve Blast. Eric made mention of this at the last shoot and said AT THAT TIME that he was going to try to spend a lot of the week between Xmas and New years at the farm. He may have different plans by now. Let's push this and see if he has decided which weekend to load this up. I vote for the New Years weekend. I will most likely show up on wednesday and stay through Sunday. This thread will allow Eric to post the official response4...push push..and allow anyone to ask questions. Game On people. |

I'll be back in town by midnight on the 29th, and plan on staying off at least a week. I talked to hrt4me yesterday afternoon. Not sure of his exact plans yet, but he is comming out for sure and bringing his long range steel targets. SO PLAN ON SHOOTING!! Although, with it being an "official" holiday, there may be a 3 drink minimum??? ![]() I hope to have my Remington 700 VS squared away for the trip. See yall there! |
|
I'm pretty much planning on being there the whole week from the day after Christmas until at least through New Years Day. Y'all come whenever y'all wish. But if it's after dark, identify yourself properly or prepare to meet with some low-flying artillery shells! Dig? Eric The(IKnewYouWould)Hun

Bushmaster 20" govt profile, VLTOR carbine stock/tube, H buffer, ARMS #40L, Larue ACOG mount, TA31 ACOG, Hogue grip, Larue 12.0 FF tube, Tango down tan panels, magpul ladder rail covers, ARMS #32 bipod adapter, Harris 9-13LM-S, home-made shaved FSB into lo-pro gas block. And I still cant hit shit with it. |

Sell it cheap and cut your lost. |
That's me. I guess I took it to heart when my pop told me that if you don't say anything people may assume you are a fool, but if you open your mouth you're likely to prove them right....

"He" still thinks he has a sports jeep. haha....but mine is 1 yr newer and cost me $20k less. I need to get skid plates someday, otherwise it is identical except for the mud tires and different style wood trim. |
Ho much did ya have to give for it, if ya dont mind me asking? So yours is a 2000 model, or 2001? My '96 2WD JGC is going to be due for an upgrade before too awful long. |
Yeah, I will probably do something like that too. I can slide it around a little depending on weather. |
|
I think Carmax mismarked it - $13998 for 2000 model with 68k miles.... They had 2WD Laredos with more miles selling for >17k. There are a few minor issues that are being handled by their 30 warranty but I got a Platinum plan for 100k odometer or 36 months from now, bumper to bumper with $0 deductible from my credit union - plus I added $200 for gap insurance. TOTAL: $16996 after TTL, gap insurance, and maintenance insurance interest rate = 4.25 ETA: the interior and exterior look almost BRAND NEW! The stereo is nice and has a LOT OF NICE BASS!!! ETA2: My T/A is broken - the dealer drove it without coolant and ruined the engine - of course they are denying it...oh well...more later |
EricTheHun has never, to my knowledge, refused anyone the invitation to attend a gathering at the Hun Farm. IM ETH for specific directions, but for a quick idea of the location, look on a map of Texas where the eastern border of the panhandle meets the Red River, then go south on highway 6 to the Pease River right between Quanah and Crowell Texas. Copper Breaks State park is on the north bank of the Pease River and the Hun Farm is on the south bank. No electricity or running water on the farm. Not much has changed there since 1885. Bring a tent or camper since sleeping space in the cabin is 1st come 1st served and fills up quick. There are grills/smokers and a small propane camp stove to cook on. For $2 a head you can get a hot shower, fill up your water containers, and hang your behind over a porcelain commode at Copper Breaks SP. You can't find a better bargain then that! Tannerite, tracers, and fireworks (artillery shells especially) are welcome and encouraged. I've seen most everything there from slingshots to 50 BMG, so bring anything you want as long as it is legal. There are some steel targets we set up at 300 and 530 yards. Used bowling pins can be picked up at your local bowling alley and make great close range reactive targets. There is also a clay pigeon trap available for use. Dirt bikes, quad runners and the like are welcome. If you bring it in, you will haul it out. Please don't litter! If you have any other questions, just ask! There is a wealth of knowledge about the Hun Farm here on the board. (I've spent about 60 days there over the past few years )

| Wow, thats not all that far from me, I'm up in north texas (Wichita Falls) i would love to come out and shoot with yall when you have a gathering. I'd just need to bring ammo with me? I'm going to try and get some bowling pins from the local alley if they'll give me any. Would i be able to make it out there in a normal vehicle like a car? or do i need to meet with someone else going out there and catch a ride in a truck or such vehicle. |
Surely come and bring your family! Y'all are most welcome at the Hun Farm! Copper Breaks is just North and to the East of the Hun Farm. We're on the South side of the Pease River! Eric The(LaidBack)Hun

I guess you must have blown a seal. Or are you gonna claim that it's just a little ice cream that dribbled all over your shirt again? |
