GROUNDHOG, NUTRIA, COYOTE AND SKUNK (striped)
There is no closed season or bag limit.

As far as I know,no license is required.
However if you are hunting any of the above during a regular game animal season you may want to have a Hunting Lic. on you. To avoid any complications if you are checked by a GW.
Consider it a donation to the consevation effort for game animals.

Unless you are hunting on land you own or lease primarily for cultivation or are under 16 you have to have a hunting license these are the only exceptions to the license requirments that are listed in the NC Requlations Digest.

Hog season is Sept.7 2009-Feb 28. 2010 in Cherokee,Clay,Graham,Jackson,Macon,Swain in the other 94 counties feral hogs are not considered to be wild boars and are not regulated. During the open deer bow-and-arrow, muzzleloader, gun season and any small game season,ONLY weapons legal for that season may be use to take wild boar

Is that the definitive list.  I thought crows would be on it.  Actually, i though Bobcats, moles, Ferrel cats, Ferrel hogs, possums, turtles and rattle snakes.  I  wouldn't imagine that you specifically set out to go hunt them but if they were in your property, you could go ahead , pull out your ccw and make fertilizer out of it.

Get a regulations digest.  It will also have county specific laws.  For example, in Currituck County there are restrictions on shooting nutrias during waterfowl season.

License required.

Thank you for your recent inquiry to North Carolina Wildlife in regards to hunting license requirements.  You would need licenses to hunt the species listed in your e-mail.  There is no closed season or bag limits on Coyotes or Groundhogs.  Feral Hogs are not regulated by the Wildlife Commission but hunting licenses would be needed to hunt those as well.
If you have any questions or need more information, please contact the hunt/fish help desk at 1-888-248-6834.
Thank you,
Melissa Rice
