I would like to start out by saying that I do not work for or represent the ISPC shot timer app for android.
I do work in the cell phone industry and just learned about this app yesterday... tried it out at the range today. If you have an android phone just search "shot timer" in the google play store, it's one of the first apps that show up. I like that you can compete against the clock by yourself. I set multiple par times, and used the "Virginia" timer setting (counts the amount of shots fired and the time inbetween shots) I like that it can be calibrated for sound levels so it will recognize dry fire or live fire... I had a good time pushing myself today at the range, and thought maybe you all might enjoy the app too. (If I violated some rule by posting this I apologize, please feel free to delete.) |

I think it really depends on your phone's hardware how well it works. I tried it and it doesn't really work in a meaningful way - always getting random extra shots recorded despite calibrating. Hard to complain about free, though. This is also an issue I've ran into. It works well enough, but if you want to really break it down and look at shot times/splits you're going to want to buy an actual timer. this thing can be a little glitchy and still pick up echos when calibrated. It tells you alot more than just running a stop watch, and the delay is nice if you are playing by yourself, It also works well for most drills, and draw time/first shot is pretty accurate. I had been using it for about a year and a half until my phone ate the shit, got a factory refurb ( ) and the app doesn't work at all on the new phonenext spring I'll probably pick up a lower end shot timer, so it isn't a big deal. |

Check out the PACT timer. It's durable and keeps the operation simple. |
