because the people whining about banning guns are the people who don't know anything about guns.

The entire debate is being driven by emotions and ignorants. Those in the know aren't being given a chance to speak.

Sadly, some of those cries are also from the gun community who are willing (read: sheeple) to give up certain guns and parts of guns to "ensure" mass shootings are a thing of the past.

We are now being sold down the river by some of the "friends" of the firearms industry.  I have been posting the following on every anti comment article that will allow me to comment.  The way I see it is the anti's have their say and so do I.

"I will start by saying that it was a sad day when these young lives and the lives of their teachers were taken by a heartless SOB.  As part of the healing process the media needs to quite sensationalizing this guys name and actions.

Now to the way I see it, there is not a problem owning any firearm. Owning a firearm is a Constitutional Amendment to protect us, the people, against a repressive government and a way to guarantee that we have the other Constitutional rights--our forefathers thought it out and did not want the United States to live under some others rule.  What gets my attention is how fast so many of the people in the United States is ready to throw away our freedoms.  I also find it interesting that the death of 19 children and many more was committed without the use of a single bullet---that is right, how many people remember the Murrah Building bombing of 1995?   The old saying of where there is a want, there is a way is so true.  It has been mentioned by our all too well knowing elected officials that mental health needs to be addressed, video games of the violent nature needs to be regulated, music that preaches death and mayhem towards people and police needs to put to an end, and cell phones/devices on the road needs to be addressed at the same time as the  firearms issue is.  Will we, as a people, throw a fit when we loose the right to listen, speak, or read things the all mighty officials see as unfit for us to think about, speak about or read about?   Are we to see a gulag for citizens who don't agree with the King of the US, what about a Cultural Revolution where those with a mind to think for themselves end up being worked in fields, how about a whole class being annihilated like Pol Pot, or even mass graves in the woods for those who don't tow the political line?  If firearms are banned will politicians, VIP's, the police, and the President/King of the US go with firearm-less guards; remember there will be no threat because firearms are banned!  I doubt that, and what makes those people think their lives are any more important than mine, or that of my family? Remember that those who beat their firearms into plows are putting themselves into slavery of the government.

Banning firearms opens a Pandora's Box that many will applaud at the moment of the time but will later regret.  Unfortunately, it will be too late for the US by then because we will be living in a state of 1984."
