| Hi fellow Illini, Happy New Year!! I'm Jeff out of Byron Il. I'm a retired Jack of most trades, Master of a few. I have 22's thru 308 with a couple stuck in the middle. A little hunting(deer/turkey/fox or any problem varmints) and fishing(catfish/crappie or whatever bites the damn hook) and 5 acre homestead with horses(3), dogs(3), cats(lost count) and of course shooting take up most of my time and money. I've been around for awhile, figured I was on a few lists (Retired Mil-USA ,NRA Life Member, Ar10 owner-OK it's an LR308AP4, no criminal record and some others I'm sure), so I finally decided to join the fray. 'Bout me: I love military history and politics. I spend quite a bit of my time thinking about my political opinions and their strengths and weaknesses and how I can best defend them. My favorite genre of music is Heavy metal. I'm a huge fan of PC gaming. At the moment, my game of choice if Halo 1's multiplayer. Doom, Borderlands, and the ARMA Series have been some of my favorites. My favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 12:11 because I very much value self-discipline and facing the consequences of my own actions, unlike so much of the culture around me. I strive for excellency in all things in life, because the way I see it, generally speaking, the more effort you put into something, the more you're going to get out of it. I'm an extremely loyal friend and would gladly fight and die for my closest friends. |

Currently own 2 H&R shotguns...1 for skeet and rifled barrel for deer and the other is a shorty for home protection. I also own a Taurus CT40 carbine, a Taurus .38 special, and a Ruger 10/22. Never owned an AR, but I've shot my fair share. Building my first AR as we speak. Next gun will hopefully be a 1911. I am a Chevy truck fan and I am currently building a 1970 C10 short bed. What your firearms interest and/or experience is... Interested in building at least one MSR and understand the platform more in depth- I own one commercial built unit, Also wanting to learn more of a long range shooting discipline (600 yards +). Been reloading for a few years, but need to start doing bottleneck cartridges. Been around firearms/shooting most of my life. I enjoy the outdoors, shooting, fishing, camping etc... Where you live: Collinsville What you do: IT, my area is in security What your firearms interest and/or experience is: recently got involved in them, I've had my FOID for less then two months and have a Nano, PT 709 Slim, 10/22 Target, and am building my first AR. I do not hunt, so all my time is spent at the range, just applied for my C&R and may attempt to get a higher grade of FFL in the future. My interests revolve around precision shooting and building/configuring firearms. Wouldn't mind taking some gun smithing courses. |

My name is Andy. I live in the Peoria area. I am in IT at a large manufacturer and I also teach Illinois CCL and NRA instruction. With my firearms business I get to buy a lot of different kinds of pistols. Several years ago I bought a RRA lower and a WOA Varmiter upper, and later added a RRA R3 upper. Bloomington Work for that big company in town Pistols of all types. I favor all 1911's, especially my Kimber, Glocks of any size, Colt revolvers AR-15's, AK47, SKS, Mosin Nagant, Mauser I've been shooting for over 40 years. 22 of them have been in the Army. Combat deployment to Afghanistan with an Infantry Company as a FISTer in 2011-2012. Currently, I am very much enjoying trap and skeet shooting at Darnall's on a regular basis |

In DuPage Commodity markets I'm a shotgunner at heart, love skeet and sporting clays. Reload 12 and 20 ga target loads, some hunting loads. Have various bolt, lever action rifles and now an AR platform 5.56! Reload for those too. Have pistol and reload little for that also. |

Names Sam Live in Springfield area I'm in Information Technology Been in shooting sports for years. My Son and I like target shooting and other outdoor sports. We're doing our 1st LR SPR build and I've learned a lot from trolling around on here figured I would setup a membership. I'm just getting started in gathering information on getting involved with some local 3-gun competitions. So I'll take any advice or recommendations on that front as well. God bless NRA for life! |
