Guys,
Many of you who have taken MDTS Defensive Edged/Improvised Weapons Courses know my feelings about folding knives vs. fixed blade knives for personal protection.

Many have asked me where I get the knives that I carry daily and/or showcase as part of the class presentation.

A training partner of mine from Oklahoma runs the company In-Fight Access Kydex and he makes custom sheaths for some common fixed blades being carried by professionals accross our nation and overseas in the sandbox.

All of the knives and custom sheath set-ups have been vetted and tested FOF by at least 3 different training groups accross the us. These sheaths are set up for maximum accessability and minimum printing.

He can also do a custom sheath for your knife of choice - contact him via his email address on the webpage below.

You can now order some of these custom sheaths, live blades, trainers and live blade/trainer + sheath packages from the MDTS website. I am NOT stocking these items. In order to purchase you have to utilize the PayPal BuyNow buttons on the site or email Dave directly.

MDTS Gear

Having carried & trained with several of my own knives in these sheaths I fully endorse these products.

I did not per se "make fun" of it... I was merely commenting on the models design etc. A sharp knife is a sharp knife and you get what you pay for..

I have only finger diddled one Extere Ratio Blade and it was a fixed blade. Very nice.

I have a boker as well, snapped the tip off the first time I tried the glass breaker. Your right you get what you pay for. Extrema Ratio's Col. Moschin looks like a better investment. Just out of curiosity, are you planning on having a CPS1 course over the fall/winter?

Yes, working on the fall schedule now. We should be having Combative Pistol Skills 1&2 as well as Combative Carbine Skills 1&2 and Combative Shotgun Skills 1&2 all sometime late September, October, November. Most likely being held at Otisco Lake Rod & Gun in Marietta, NY.

Also, sometime this fall in October I think we will be doing an O.C./Pocket-Carry Impact Tool course in Syracuse NY. Stay tuned.
