QuietShootr and I spent the day at the Indiana State Museum and had quite a lovely time. A few highlights: -Mastadont skeleton display -Ayres tea room (we didn't eat there, but it was just like we remembered it...I suggest calling a few days ahead of time for a reservation if you want to eat there) -Very cool old TVs and radios -Japanese Quilt exhibit (very cool if you are a quilter) -Pop culture display (toys from the 80s that QS and I were oogling over) -Famous Hoosier display -The Pendulum There really weren't all that many kids there, but they do have different school choirs singing Christmas carols this week. |

Thanks for the details. My daughter would enjoy the famous hoosiers display. Goes along with an all year school project she has (and loves doing). One of these days we need to come over for a vist so you can show her the seedy underbelly of the Library industry. She would like it. |
I would love to have a shadow. Maybe this summer? We do lots of fun stuff for summer reading and I bet she would have a blast! |
The huge limestone exhibit was done by the mill I work for. I probably sawed it all out. |
