Not sure about the internet info, I have bellsouth ATT(6 meg DSL) but I am south and west of you, but Creekside is a good bet for a range.

You get the cable provider that deals with the area so if you don't want Comcast (assuming they are the provider in Canton) if you want to go DSL, BellSouth isn't too bad.

Another place to shoot is a very nice club - River Bend Gun Club  rbgc.org

National Firearms Act (NFA) "Class III" firearms with full-automatic-fire
capability may not be fired in full-automatic mode, nor may military ordnance,
as defined in section 3.1 of these rules, be fired on any range at RBGC. The use
of silencers or noise suppressors is also prohibited.

Ouch... No suppressors?!?!?! Wow.

Nope.  I like RBGC for the rifle ranges, but I'll have to go to Creekside if I ever have NFA weapons.  Part of their concern was claimed to be that somebody could be shooting rapid fire and the range officers wouldn't hear them, the Fudd Factor was likely also at work (stated reason for not allowing rapid fire, other than sling-supported highpower positions, is the liability if rounds go over the backstop).

Thanks, I called bellsouth/att and they told me i did not exist so i guess I'll have to keep looking but i really don't want to use comcast.
On the issue of the range, creekside looks pretty good does anyone know how many 300-500 lanes they have? and how busy they normally are?

Thanks for everyones input

You are going to be stuck with windstream for DSL

I have been in canton since 89

Last I checked we are stuck with comcast (formerly Adelphia cable company
or windstream (formerly alltel phone company

My brother-in-law moved out here a few weeks ago and paid for the fastest dsl and did a bandwith test which showed the same speed as my regular dsl

We both get about 1.2 mbts   with comcast he is getting 6

Welcome to canton!

I usually shoot at bulllseye in cumming for an indoor range
at river bend in dawsonville for the monthly action pistol matches
and pickens county sportsmans club when mike benedict has a class
They are all about 30 minutes from canton
and we have a nice gun store in holly springs called big woods goods

I have comcast workplace internet at home and it rocks!

I get 9mb/s and 24 hour repairs guaranteed.. but it costs more than residential..
